I organized the family Christmas party this year and chose this restaurant based on our past great dining experience there. I received a round of applause from everyone in attendance for arranging it at such a great place and the family wants to hold it there next year as well. We had a room, the Cabin, all to ourselves. We were able to walk around and visit each other and open Christmas gifts (there was a tree to put them under during dinner) as well as have dinner. There were 20 of us but there could easily have been 10 - 12 more. The food got rave reviews (especially Jack's Killer Combo - a wonderful chicken and ribs combo that is so large you will probably have leftovers to take home), the filet mignon and pork tenderloin were a favorite as well. The meet was all tender and prepared wonderfully. We had several different desserts, all were good, but the one I heard about most was the Apple Crisp for two (and it is definitely big enough for two). I had a taste of my daughter's and it was wonderfully flavored and served warm with ice cream, a real treat. The service was excellent. Michael and Brian were very helpful in making the arrangements and paying attentiion to details and our waitress not only gave us excellent service but was happy and pleasant while she waited on us. The overall experience was excellent and again, I base that on the reactions of the group who want to go there again next year. There is no charge for the private room but there is a $500 minimum on the bill, including beverages. The 20 of us were able to spend the minimum but at the same time, we were very satisfied with the prices. Thanks to all at Mad Jack's for making this party a fun and enjoyable experience.
