A Breath of New Life Wedding Ceremony's, Officiating & Premarital Classes

I am posting my review from Wedding Wire website that contains Tammy's response. In addition to my original review I would like to note that it is nice that Tammy can apologize in the public to me but not to me personally. I find that very disappointing and to me that shows her business is more important to save face then her clients/customers. I also would like to note the person who performed our ceremony was her husband Scott who she says in her response "HE" is no longer working there. I have a video reminder to show me most of the things that went wrong with my ceremony.



I am typically not one for writing a negative review, but I did not feel my experience was not all that great and needs to be shared.



I felt that Tammy was great with communication and was quick to respond to emails. However, there were several things that happened the day of that I found very disappointing. First, I felt as though my ceremony was rushed through and it was like he had somewhere else to be and he was already running late. (The guests even made comments about that). Not exactly sure what happened as he was reading my vows to me to say back, he skipped over a section of mine and did not go back to correct it. (That did not happen as he read them with my husband). Another thing that slightly bothered me was during the sand ceremony we had a song we wanted played. In email exchanges with Tammy she said that was fine to but have it at a low volume as he would be doing a reading. So right before the ceremony I asked him after you are done with the reading can we turn up the volume as we continue to the pour the sand and so that people could hear the song. He said OK. Well apparently that was not the case as he went into the closing prayer. I guess a few more minutes of his time was asking too much. The last issue I had was after the ceremony he went up to my mom and asked her for the money. WHAT?!?!?!?!? In ALL the email exchanges and on their website it CLEARLY states all payments must be paid 24 hours prior. I had an email confirmation indicating I was paid in full from Tammy. I asked him if he wanted me to get my phone so I could show him the email confirmation. He said no, that was OK. I prayed that this was not going to be a pattern for the day and things just go wrong, but thankfully after the ceremony things turned out great.

Hello Lindy,

I am horrified, that this was your experience, with an officiant of mine. It was totally out of line, and far beneath the standards I expect and uphold for all my couples and officiants. He had never received a bad review prior or I certainly would have never sent him. He will not be performing any more. I wish I could make this right, but unfortunately I can't go back and change things for you. I am so very sorry this was your experience. It should never have been that way. I am very grateful that you sent the review or I would have never known. He by the way was very apologetic and realizes he messed this up. He did tell me to apologize to you, but unfortunately I can not take a chance of this ever happening again, I have let him go. Again Lindy I feel horrible that you suffered on such a special day in your life. I am very sorry. I am very protective over my couples and my business reputation which is virtually impeccable. Thank you again for letting me know.
