Great Service!
I locked my keys in a running car and didn't have a spare. They cut me a key with information they had on file and delivered it to my house within 30 minutes! It was AWESOME!
I'd highly recommend going there!
I purchased a used 2006 Ford Escape from Uptown with satisfactory results. One month later, when the dashboard lights would not turn off even when the car was off, I took the car to their service center.
I was told that the diagnostics would be covered since the car was newly purchased from Uptown, but they weren't. For the service of plugging in a computer and reading its diagnosis, I was charged over one hundred dollars.
I was further insulted that Uptown Service Center removed the stereo, found the misplaced wire causing the light malfunction and, rather than go the extra mile, requested an additional hundred dollars for the simple repair (no equipment or harware required). I repaired the problem myself in less than 20 minutes. I would never use Uptown Service Center or purchase from Uptown Motors again. I depend on dealers for reliable, consistant service when I drive off their lot. Uptown Motors is not the type of dealership that goes the extra mile for their customers. Something as simple as pulling a wire on a stereo makes a world of difference to me. What a shame.

First off let me say that I am not a mechanic and all comments in this review are MY OWN OPINION!! Second I will never buy another Ford product because of Uptown. I purchased a new 2008 Ford Escape XLT, since then it has been to the dealership twice for transmission problems. The first time was fine, The second time however was a crock. The service tech (Fred) was in my opinion a total prick. . He told me the clutch belt needed to be replaced, which is fine except that it is a automatic transmission and therefore in my opinion since I am not a mechanic, has no clutch. On top of that it took 6 days to complete the repairs, technically 5 since one of the days was Thanksgiving on which I am sure they were closed. So if you want to buy a car here in my opinion, don't, take the bus instead, even standing in the rain and snow is less of a headache than dealing with these, in my opinion, decieving pricks. Also the only reason I gave them one star above is because I had to in order to publish this review.
I brought my Continental to Uptown after failing emissions and having the Check Engine Soon as well as the ABS and Traction Control lights come on. I asked for diagnostics to be performed to tell me what needed to be done.
I was told by the “knowledgeable” people at Uptown that I needed two O2 sensors, DPFE sensor and air cleaner. Then I was informed that I would have to pay for diagnostic checks two (2) more times to find out what else is in need of repair.
Why wasn’t I told in advance that the single diagnostic procedure that I was paying for did not cover the complaints I was inquiring about, I needed to know all the information, not part now, part later. That is despicable business practice.
I then went to a reputable dealership who informed me that there is a code locked in the OBD and once they cleared the code all the systems were online and I need to drive the vehicle to reset data and return to see if error returns. I did so, and there are no malfunctions showing.
The vehicle has passed emissions. This saved me $590.00 plus tax for work that was not needed.
The battery which is listed as in need of replacement tested at 525, so I guess it got better once it left Uptown. This saved me $130.00 plus tax for a battery that tested OK.
The air filter was not checked, I put a small drop of grease on the latch for the filter housing, either your “tech” removed the filter by magic or the housing was not opened, because the grease was intact.
They did however spot several minor leaks and the worn tires. They also spotted the brake that was “hanging up” and did not look further to see if it was a safety issue, or if they did no one told me. Which I will have taken care of at one of your competitors who can be trusted not to embellish or mislead their customers.
I wasted $116.16 at Uptown and will in the future do all I can to inform people that they should take their business anywhere but Uptown.
