Open Hearth Restaurant

I took my husband here for his birthday. What a terrible dinner. He was excited about having steak. He ordered the t-bone steak which was suppose to be medium. The steak was overdone and burned. It was like liver, he could barley cut it. $32.00 steak. I ordered the ribs which were tough and chewy. We asked to speak with the manager who came over and we complained. He then said what do you want me to do about it. We told him we did not want to have to pay for the steak because it was way overdone and could not even be eaten. He was not sympathetic and said he took a few bites of eat already. So he still wanted to charge us for burned meat. After having to argue with him, he finally gave us half price on the steak, BIG DEAL! My husband went home hungry. The manager did not even give us a deal on the ribs. We were the customers, CUSTOMERS COME FIRST, NOT AT THIS PLACE! They are all about the money!!!!! Don't eat here, food is TERRIBLE along with the service.‎

This fine establishment has been a staple of excellence for me and my family for years. A very welcoming ambiance from the moment we walk in, the staff has to be one of the most friendly and knowledgable in the Milwaukee area as well. From the bartender, to the manager the people here feel like family and could you ask for more from a fine restaurant. The seating can be great for a private night with the wife, or a larger event for any occasion. None of the snooty downtown type restaurant atmosphere here, where your lucky if they ever fill your water. The food and service is by far the best I have had in my 26 years in the city. I recommend this place to everybody that comes through the Milwaukee area, and please, try the Prime Rib! The best in town hands down! Not to mention the Friday Fish Fry! In fact I dont think I have ever ordered anything here that I didnt immediately fall in love with. AMAZING!
