THIS IS AN EDIT: A BIG thank you to Mike at the 76th and Good Hope store, for rectifying a problem that I encountered at the pharmacy with a meter. Mike called, and was very apologetic with my situation. He was also nice when I met him at the store the next day. I still think the pharmacist needs a 101 class in etiquette. I picked up three prescriptions, one being a narcotics, and he never asked if I had any questions. His assistant brought the medication to the counter. Thanks again Mike, I give you FIVE stars!! I recently visited the pharmacy on 76th and Good Hope to pick up a diabetic meter. The pharmacist gave me a meter that had expired over four (4) years ago. I noticed that the rebate card expired in 2012, but I simple tossed it in the garbage. When I tried to test with my meter, it did not work. I called, and the manager was on duty that day. I told her that a male pharmacist was working that day, and gave me the meter. He was not professional at all. I called him after I returned home and stated it was the same out-of-date meter that I was trying to update. He simply replied that it was the meter the Dr. prescribed. It was a free meter, so I guess he did not care. When I spoke to the manager, she told me to bring the meter in, and she discovered that it was expired. There was one more meter on the shelf and it was due to expire in January 2016, which would have only given me nine months. She said she would order me a new meter, and she did. I now have an up-to-date meter. The other pharmacist, did not check the expiration date, and apparently did not care, since it was free. I had to make three trips back and forth because of his carelessness. SHAME ON HIM!!!!
I have worked in customer service for years and this is the first time I have felt that I need to let people know of the great experience my wife and I had. My wife and I were looking for a used vehicle after she had the brakes go out in our old one. We had gone to a big name dealer in Oshkosh and we were totally turned off by the service that we received. So, the next morning we headed to Milwaukee to Diamond Jims where we were pleasantly greeted and not pushed to buy something. All the employees that we met had exceeded our expectations. We were assisted by Nick. He was EXTREMLY patient with us as we went back and forth trying to decide what we wanted a car or SUV amongst other options. After 4 hours of going back and forth we finally found the one that fit our needs the best. I however wanted a remote start. So we asked if that could be included he said for that we could for 100 bucks which for the car we got was a great price. Unfortunately, it was so late in the day when we decided on a car so my wife had to go back down the next day to have it installed. So, when my wife got down to the shop Nick took her to my parents and picked her up as well. He also lent her his cell phone charger. Nick goes above and beyond the call of duty. He is an immeasurable asset to Diamond Jims. I would not think of buying a used car anywhere else from anyone else. He was polite, considerate, personable, and empathetic and PATIENT. We are so grateful to have met such an amazing person.
I am really not one to write a review, but I had to after my experience here. My mom needed help buying a car about two years ago. I wanted to help, but I was very discouraged about going to a big dealership. I had a bad experience in the past, and got totally taken advantage of. I asked around, went online and ended up hearing from a friend that he got his truck at American Auto. He told me it's a smaller dealership, and the owner is very easy to work with. I decided to take my mom there, just to look. Doug, the owner, was sitting at his desk when we walked in, and greeted us very casually. Not like in your face "YOU NEED A CAR!!!!!" He was very personable, and I didn't get that creepy "salesman" vibe. My mom didn't really know exactly what she wanted. But, based on the info we gave him, he ended up finding a perfect car for her. Not only did he get under our budget, he also went through the trouble of making it immaculate inside, and out. I know dealerships detail the car before you get it, but this was way more than just wiping down some windows, and vaccuming. My mom is still driving her Ford, and has had no problems with it. We will buy all of our cars at American Auto, in the future. Thanks!
