Dental Examination
You should visit the dentist at least twice a year. A dental exam can reveal early signs of decay and disease that you may not see or feel. Catching these conditions early can help control them before they get worse and harder to treat. Additionally, getting a cleaning by a trained professional will remove plaque in areas you may have missed or cannot reach.
X-rays
At Anthony Leite DDS, we use digital x-rays, which have several advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.
Oral Cancer Screening
Genetic syndromes: Some cancers are inherited and if there are oral cancers in your family then you may also be at a risk of developing it too. This is why oral cancer screening is often recommended, especially when there is a family history of cancer.

Teeth Cleaning
Oral prophylaxis: Also called teeth cleaning, oral prophylaxis is a procedure for removing unwanted particles that brushing may leave behind. It is also during this procedure that the dentist examines the teeth for any sign of tooth decay and gum inflammation. This procedure is recommended every six months.

Founded in Bensheim, Germany, Sirona Dental Systems are the architects behind this remarkable innovation. It was in 1980 when the first CEREC method was developed at Zurich University by M. Brandestini and W. Mormann. In 1985, the first patient got to enjoy its services even though the material used back then was VITABLOCS Mark I. The year after, Siemens applied for a license to permit the firm to market and continue developing the equipment. Consequently, a year after the acquisition, it came up with an upgraded version called the CEREC I with new features such as single and dual-surface inlays. The material used was now VITABLOCS Mark II. Not much took place from there on until in 1990 when the International CEREC Symposium got held at the University of Zurich. All this while the machine worked with the help of a hydraulic drive, but in 1991 the electronically controlled motor got introduced as the replacement. Scientists consistently worked on ways to improve the device, so it came as no surprise when in 1994 the CEREC II got revealed. It came with essential features like veneers, inlays, and on-lays. A lot changed since the introduction of the first CEREC so in 1996 there was a CAD/CAM Symposium to recognize the decade spent on the equipment.
Crowns
When a tooth’s structure has been compromised by decay, Dr. Anthony Leite may recommend to you a crown or filling to repair the affected area. There are some critical differences in these two solutions that you may want to discuss with Dr. Leite, as they do address some concern in various patients.
Bridges
1. Long-lasting It is built to last and thus it will serve you for a long time and save you money in the process because it is cheaper than using dental bridges which will require more frequent replacement. A well placed and carefully cared for implant should provide years of service.
Dental Bonding
This is procedure used to fix chipped, decayed, broken or discolored teeth. The process involves applying a dental composite material that resembles a dentin and enamel into a cavity or surface of a tooth and then sculpting it into shape. Later, a high intensity light is used to contour and harden the composite bonding. Once this is done, you will be left with teeth that blend well with the rest of your teeth and giving you a bright and beautiful smile. Bonding is one of the simplest and cheapest procedures.
Restorative Dentistry

Root Canal Treatment
Root canals are needed when decay and bacteria spread for too long without treatment. At a certain point, this decay makes it to the pulp inside the tooth. This pulp includes nerves, therefore infection generally causes a lot of pain. Since this is happening on the inside of the tooth, you won’t necessarily see the damage. Instead, you could feel it through pain and notice other signs that include bleeding, swelling and bad breath.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
The procedure The procedure of implanting dental implants is quite simple. The first thing the dentist will do is to develop a personalized treatment plan. The plan is tailored to meet your needs, and this plan can only be prepared by specialists who have specialized training in restorative dentistry and oral surgery. The next step will be to place the implant into the ideal spot to support the missing tooth or teeth. A dental implant is a tiny object made from titanium. Within 4 to 6 months, the jawbone will grow around the implant as it heals which will hold the metal post firmly in the jaw. Once your doctor determines that the implant has embedded to the jawbone, they will attach an abutment which is a tiny connector post to the implant. This abutment is designed to hold the new tooth adequately. Your dentist will then take an impression of your teeth and make a model of your bite. The new tooth or set of teeth will be made according to the model created. Once this has been done, a crown will be placed on top of the abutment. The replacement tooth or teeth will be made in the same color as your natural tooth. Most patients report that the procedure is almost painless save for a little discomfort. Caring for dental implants is quite simple because they need the same care as natural teeth such as flossing, brushing, rinsing out with antibacterial mouthwash and paying regular visits to the dentist for check-ups. Dr. Leite has received specialized training in placing dental implants using the latest computer aided imaging and planning modalities for predictable and safe dental implant placement.
Tooth Extractions

Orthodontics
Are you unhappy with your smile? There are several possible ways to improve your smile with cosmetic dentistry. Options can range from whitening to veneers to crowns, with or without Clear Correct orthodontics preceding your care. Essentially, anything to improve your smile could be considered in this field, however, Dr. Anthony Leite has studied extensively and committed a large part of the practice to offering exceptional smile transformations, from the most subtle nuanced changes to extreme makeovers televised on the networks and in magazines.
Invisalign Orthodontics
When you make up your mind that you want to use Invisalign to treat your teeth, you can go to the dentist of your choice and begin the process of getting a set of Invisalign. The dentist will first follow three steps in this procedure which are evaluation, designing, and finally treatment. The dentist will inspect your teeth to see if Invisalign is the best treatment for you. The designing stage involves taking several 3D images as well as x-rays of your teeth and jaw. These will then be used to create a custom treatment plan which will be sent to a lab that is used for making correcting dental appliances. Your custom-fit aligners will be created and you will get a set of new aligners after every two weeks which will indicate a new stage of your teeth alignment treatment. In the treatment stage, every time you get a new set of aligners you will notice a change in your teeth as they will be moving in the direction that they are intended to move to correct the crookedness. When the treatment is over, you may have to wear retainers for some time to ensure that your teeth do return to their initial position.
Braces
Braces are useful in aligning teeth that are out of place by applying pressure to the tooth and bony tooth socket until they are properly aligned. There are different types of braces; there are invisible, metallic and colored ones.

Teeth Whitening
In-office teeth whitening works by producing a significant color change in your teeth in a short amount of time, usually within an hour. The procedure is done at the dentist’s office, by applying a high-concentration peroxide gel on the teeth after they have been protected with a special shield.
