I'm so sad I didn't discover Papi's cuban sandwiches earlier. I've lived in the neighborhood forever but somehow never made it over there until this year. I was missing so much! Not only is the atmosphere fun and welcoming, but the food is really really good and affordable. I don't know how "authentic" the food is to real cuban, but whatever they put on those sandwiches is magic. (I have a feeling it involves a lot of garlic.) Their combination plates offer tons of food, enough to split between 2 people. But don't do that-- you'll want leftovers to take home with you. Highly recommended.
I went yesterday after work to meet a friend just to grab a King of Pops but I ended up getting a black & white milkshake instead. The milkshake was…
I went to Mardis Gras for a birthday celebration with a few friends. The girls are flirty and nice and very approachable. The drinks are strong and good. I had a few table dances and really had an awesome time. You need to go for the experience. The ladies were beautiful.. there's a variety of ethinicities which keeps it interesting and conversations flowing... there are Poles! No Snooty tramps here. Had a blast.
First things first: they're no longer at 280 Elizabeth. They're now at 913 Bernina Ave. And the long wait for the new location was worth it! Can you say Jack and Coke slushies? Perfect portion affordable sandwiches? Pet friendly! Right on the juncture between the Freedom Park Path and the Beltline. Eat here and then stroll a short distance down Bernina to the King of Pops window for dessert.
