I had my hair done by Beej about 5 yrs ago. I LOVED the atmosphere and all of the employees including Beej herself were very upbeat and fun to be around. However, I was trying to go from strawberry blonde to platinum and get a short layered hairstyle. To make a long story short, I ended up with GRAY hair and chopped layers that actually thinned my hair out so bad until this day my hair has never been the same. Of course when Beej saw the GREY tint of my hair she offered for me to come back and she would place a color of the blonde ( which was what I wanted). $275 later I could not bring myself to pay another $1 to jeopordize my now " gray hair". I ended up going to a salon down the road and paying $130 for a golden blonde fix which was good enough. I read on here the reviews which were AWESOME before going to Beej and a friend referred me which has also got her hair cut there and it was terribly thinned out as well. The staff is very sweet and may be great with other colors and cut however please do not go here to become a platinum blonde you just may end up looking about 40 yrs older with grey hair :(

I met Beej and Susie a few years ago when I was in a frantic search for hair help after a really bad high-light job (my hair was green and wiry). I went into the salon and came out with a hair style and color that could have walked the red carpet! Yes, it was THAT awesome!



When I go in I never know exactly what color I want or how I want it cut and they always spend time to suggest ideas, look at colors with me and they never rush me. I have always left feeling great about myself and my new look.

Beej has a fun atmosphere and all of the stylists are extremely friendly and professional. Summer Hudson does great work on men's haircuts and has an exceptional attention to detail. I would highly recommend Beej to anyone in the Richmond metro area.

I've been going to see Beej at Beej Hair Colour Studio for a little over a year and we've had so much fun highlighting and coloring my hair in a variety of crazy ways -- not the norm for Richmond. I have gotten more compliments on my hair since going to this studio than ever before and every time I have my hair done I am more sexy and confident than the last time! I found out about Beej Hair Colour Studio through one of those daily deals and went their for a mani/pedi not knowing what they were all about. I have to say that Summer is GREAT!!! She was very detailed and if it does not look good she will start over. You will be extremely satisified when you walk out their doors! Can't wait to see what she does with my hair color for my wedding!

I am very dissapointed paying lots of money for a haircolor and a haircut that looks like a 5 year old had the controll of it. Very dissapointing. The bad thing about my experience was, that actually the owner Ms. Beej who has 20+years of experience could not fullfill her job. She is a very sweet person but I would not recomend my friends to visit there salon for a haircut or color.

This salon has a very warm welcoming staff. They always remember your name and treat you like a friend. They do a great job with all of their services. They have great ideas for improving your color and style to make you look your best!

Beej Hair Colour Studio is spectacular. Their amazing colourists/stylists know how to use highlights and lowlights to give your hair "natural" variation and sheen. I've been going to Susan since I discovered her in February and she is wonderful with cuts and color. And, to top it off, they give the best scalp massages while you sit in a fabulous massage chair. The salon atmosphere is upbeat, happy, hip and drama-free. I highly recommend it!
