Animal Medical Center

They are convenient and most of their costs seem fair but are not good at what they do. I've been taking my dog there for a few years and she is like a child to me. The vet staff was sufficient for her annual exams but did not listen or take note of my concerns otherwise. After they cleaned her teeth, she developed respiratory issues but they just shrugged their shoulders without looking into it. Another time, I took her in for some immense pain she was in. The young doctor could not find anything wrong in his general wellness exam and didn't seem to care. I had to ask for more testing, which still didn't answer many questions but they prescribed antibiotics in addition to the mild pain meds. After 2 more days of my little girl still barely being able to walk, I took her to another vet to get a second opinion. Unlike this vet, they knew from her wellness exam that she was in immense pain and did xrays to find that she was on the verge of having a ruptured disk. There was no need for the antibiotics Dr. White put her on and she could have become paralyzed if I would not have gotten a second opinion!

The entire staff at Animal Medical Center is extremely friendly, easy to understand and willing to take time and make sure you understand everything that you've been told. I recently acquired a kitten and he had quite a few problems... I would call AMC with random questions and they would be willing to give me ideas over the phone rather than making me come in, pay their office visit and give me the same ideas but at a high price... of course they had already seen him so they were able to give me suggestions based on the health records they had for him.



Their pricing is also very reasonable and every experience has been enjoyable for myself, maybe not so much for my animals, though. :)

Dr. White is an excellent vet. He always takes the time to fully explain even the smallest things. Great with the dogs.
