My dealings with the Dog Cabin are different than most. I work with a rescue organization, Labs4Rescue, and we board animals there while they are waiting for foster homes or their furever families. Kevin and his staff are amazing. They treat every single dog that walks in their front door as if they were their own. They are loving, caring and patient with these dogs who have sometimes had a rough start in life. I truly believe the love and time spent by him and his staff really makes a difference in these dogs lives. Great job and please donโ€™t ever stop doing what you do ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’™

Our dog was attacked today, first time at the Dog Cabin and she was accosted at least 6 times by a male dog within a half hour. This is unacceptable behavior that was allowed to take place. We will never go back, beware to all, thank goodness they have cameras and we were able to see and stop the attack ourselves. Shame on all the staff for allowing this to happen

Excellent care

I brought my dogs here multiple times, I like that when my dog is boarded she gets free daycare so she's not in a cage all day. I also feel safe knowing the small dogs have their own area to play in so they don't get squished. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I've tried other kennels/ daycares I. The area and this is by far the best.

I left my dog for 4 nights and...

I left my dog for 4 nights and 5 days and when we took her back she couldn't walk properly. We were told it was because they make the dogs walk on a road with rocks and that if the dog isn't used to that kind of road it can cause their paws to hurt. But her paws were bleeding and the black part that covered the digital pads (the little cushions) were gone in many areas and instead red irritated skin was there. We were told they will recover after 1 or 2 days but it took 3 or 4 for her to walk more normally. Now, 2 weeks later, I took her for a longer walk and after that, her back paw has problems again. Its inflated and red and she can't even step on it. I will take her to the vet to get an analysis today. I wouldn't bring my dog there again, I just wonder, how it got to that point, her paws must have been hurting but they dragged her anyway and forced her to walk until her pads skin was gone and started bleeding. Maybe the staff didn't intentionally inflict this cruelty, but theres definitely something wrong in the way they handle the dogs.

Way too many dogs outside in the play yard with not enough supervision. You should never have that many dogs outside together for that long. Great concept...having dogs outside all day, but NOT safe. Other kennels have smaller groups of dogs by size/temperament and have adequate staffing to supervise. Would never recommend this place for boarding.

Incredible

I have had dogs all my life and have always struggled with the guilt of leaving my dog home alone. I am so glad I finally found The Dog Cabin. My lab loves going there. All I have to say is "You want to go play with Kevin" and he bolts to the door. As I turn the corner to the Dog Cabin, he gets so excited and whines then drags me through the door. The staff is so friendly and the love for dogs is apparent every time I go. I love you guys. Thank you for taking such great care of my baby.

Just amazing. The best in the business! I would never take my dog anywhere else. I would also never take my SICK DOG TO A BE BOARDED EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Find a vet to board your dog, it should be around other dogs. I dont care how small of an infection it has. YOU DO NOT ALLOW THE DOG AROUND OTHER DOGS. They dont know, better and they simply want to play. The weight loss was probably a result of the dog being active for the first time in his life! My dog also loses weight when he plays there for several hours on end and has a wonderful time!!! Great place to take your dog!

My dog was rejected. While this is a huge inconvenience for me I think it speaks very well of the integrity of these business operators that they turned away a new (and would-be regular client) for the safety and well-being of their regular clients. My dog is a little bit aggressive in a playful way and I hope that I'll be able to bring her back after more training. In the meantime, I give this place a good vote for integrity.

I boarded my dog at the Dog Cabin in August 2009. He had an ear infection when he went to the kennel and they NEVER gave him his medicine as they were instructed. It became a major infection. He also did not eat at all while at the kennel. I called during the week to ask how he was and I was told he was "fine" and was eating fine...not true. MY DOG LOST 8 POUNDS IN 6 DAYS WHILE IN THEIR CARE....8 pounds!! This is unheard of. We were called on day 6 and were told he "caught a virus from another dog and he just appearing to show signs that he was sick". He required 2 days of IV for severe dehydration along with additional medical treatment. He almost died. The Dog Cabin is taking in WAY too many dogs than they can handle in my opinion. They told us they had 40 dogs per night PLUS the dogs they have for doggie daycare. My dog was lost in the shuffle and was not cared for as a result. The owners admitted he was not cared for and paid our vet bills. I would NEVER recommend this kennel!

A Truly Extraordinary Dog Kennel

From the moment my husband and I walked into The Dog Cabin, we knew our dogs found a home away from home. The owners and other staff greeted us and our dogs with a warm welcome and we immediately knew our dogs would be cared for just as we would want. The lobby was cozy and inviting and we could not get over how clean and fresh smelling it was. You would never be able to know dogs are even there. When we asked for a tour, the owner showed us around and we continued to be impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. The outdoor play area was beautifully wooded and spacious. But the highlight was the Web Cams so we could check on the dogs any time. Every time we logged on, we saw our dogs playing and having a great time. We will never take our dogs any where else again.

Thank you for taking such great care of our dogs.

Lisa and Todd.
