I recently had my daughter's 7th Birthday party @ Cafe au Clay and I have to say it was the best party ever. We had 25 kids attending and everything was so perfect, they played around, painted some pottery (not just pottery, but real masks handcrafted there) and just had a great time! The owner, Kate, and her staff made every effort to make us and our guests feel at home (and believe me, at some point I thought I was home...). And the best of all, NO MESS TO CLEAN UP, they took care of everything!!!! Almost everyone made a positive comment on the place and also on how lovely and welcoming they made us feel. I highly recommend it not only for a party or event, but also for a fun and relaxing treat to yourself. Thanks, Kate!!

If looking for Mid-Eastern Food at Great Prices, this is the best to eat. Not only is it casual, you can bring your own alcohol with NO corking fee. This is definitely a Plus for the many wine consumers. Sandwiches and Entree's prices remain the same for day and night dinning. The wait staff is very prompt and the kitchen can always handle the crowd without missing a beat. The cafe also offers side walk dinning under umbrellas. The Mid-Eastern Food is excellent and always served hot! Get there early on the weekend, (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) as there is always a crowd. The crowd is always a mixed group from all professions including college students.
On a typically hot July summer day In 1966 my fiance, now wife, and I first entered Napoleon House for a late afternoon drink. We were greeted by a portly, balding waiter attired in a full white apron. He seated us at a small round table under a paddle fan that pretended to stir the thick New Orleans air. An old 78 Caruso record was playing on the record player. I looked around and expected to see Humphrey Bogart sitting at the bar. We ordered Jack Daniels on the rocks. The price was .75cents per glass!!! (as I recall it was the weekday special). If you want to feel the soul of N.O. Napoleon House is it. P.S. The seafood gumbo is the best!!
