I have been dealing with Dr. Novo and his office staff for 4 -1/2 months now. And I'd have to say I think they are doing a good job. They always take my messages, the doctor calls me back immediately when I have a question or concern about my son, regardless of what day it is. They have never been rude to me, and Dr. Novo is a terrific pediatric. It's hard to find good doctors, I.m glad I found mine.

I cannot imagine any parent of a sick child having to deal with the staff in this office. They are rude, have TERRIBLE bedside manners, and lack the customer service skills and compasion needed to be in the medical field.



I do not know Dr. Novo personally, nor do I have children that are treated by him, but I had the terrible experience of speaking with his office manager Mariela, who hung up the telephone when I aked to leave a message for Dr. Novo and refused to explained to her why I needed to leave him a message. I explained it was a personal matter regarding my sister (whose children have been patients there for a long time) and the treatment she was receiving from the office staff. All I asked was that she would take my number and allow the doctor to decide if he wanted to call me or not, but it took a second call, putting up with her screaming at me, for her to take my number down. My sister had called me in tears because of the ongoing mistreating on the phone and in person from the girl that works at the front desk, and because she was happy with Dr. Novo as her peditrician, she wanted to bring it up to his attention that she was unhappy with the way his staff. She asked me to kindly bring it up to the doctor. This day in particular, we needed a form for the daycare for one of the children, which we are happy to pay for and pick it up, and it turned into a bitter arguement for no reason because they lack the skills to handle simple requests.



Save yourself the agony of dealing with this office, and look for another peditrician. I am sure Dr. Novo is a good doctor, but the mediocre customer service they provide is unacceptable of the medical field.



What's worse, these people act like they ahve this power over you and you can't touch them. Who needs that kind of treatment whe you are dealing with the health of your child?
