I’ve been to the Tea Room a lot since it recently reopened with a new owner and I really like it! It is owned by the same person who owns Kris’s Restaurant in Palmetto Bay. I live nearby, so we usually go there several times a week. I was surprised to read GK3’s review, but then I realized that must have been from when the previous owner ran it a few years ago. Obviously, things have changed! My husband and I enjoy dining at the Tea Room, and so have guests that I have brought at various times. The food is made with fresh ingredients, from scratch and prepared in a flavorful and sometimes unexpected way. The sandwich I like best is prepared on a fresh baked baguette with fresh roasted vegetables, goat cheese and a pesto sauce. I’m a vegetarian and I wish they had more vegetarian entrees, since I don’t really eat things like quiches, but at least the chef has been kind enough to modify some of their menu items like the cheese quesadillas to include all sorts of roasted vegetables to my liking. I really love the soups too. There’s a good assortment of vegetarian soups, as well as meat based ones. As I said, the food is really good, but the décor is enchanting. If you go, you really need to check out all of the distinct rooms, decorated in vintage style, with different themes and memorabilia. Cauley Square is a historic place and the Tea Room is a perfect part of it. If you like freshly prepared GOOD food with fresh in season ingredients, that's very affordable too, it’s definitely worth a drive to try it out!

My co-workers and I had booked a Tea Party at Veronica's Dollhouse and we were shocked at the service, quality and beauty!!! We asked for a Marie Antoinette themed party, and boy did we get one! It was so oppulent...so rich! The dollhouse girls made us feel so special, so at home. They took care of EVERYTHING for us. They made us a custom centerpiece and even made beautiful e-vites for us to send to our guests. It was incredible, I have never expeirenced anything like this before. I felt like I was in England or France. Not to mention, the entire place is a store! It's divided into little rooms, exactly like a dollhouse, with the most unique merchandise!!! We had the best time shopping too. I love it so much, i'm booking my daughter's birthday party there next month. -Victoria
I was there yesterday with a friend. It is a delightful & charming establishment. There are several rooms that can accommadate customers in intimate settings of 4-6 tables. The decor and funishing ... lace tableclothes, variety of china patterns make you feel you have been invited to dine with an elegant lady for a social meal. The wait-person brings a chest of assorted teas to the table to allow for your personal tea flavor selection. The menu has variety of quiches, sandwiches, soups and salads ... and the dessert cart makes it difficult to decide which to choose. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing at lunch -- we felt we had "stepped out of time". I look forward to the next time I can stop by and visit the Tea Room. ColleenGator /// Miami, FL.
