Lovely and relaxing...but close to lots of fun!

Beautiful rooms with balconies and deep soaking tubs. There are TV's in the bathroom also so you can watch a movie while you relax in a bubblebath. Room service was delicious...and not terribly expensive for this part of Miami (though certainly not cheap!) The hotel itself is in a prime location to walk to bars and restaurants, but if you just want to hit the lobby bar, that was excellent as well! The Caramel Apple Martini is amazing.. and potant!

Terrible service

Per recommendation of Miami Spice i made a reservation at Ginger Grove at 8: 30p. at arrival we were taken to our table immediately, up to that point everything was fine. We order wine and appetizers and it took about one hour to be served. I ask the waiter and the manager what was the delay with the service and was told the between a party and room service they were overwhelm. We ask for another glass of wine and that never got to us we had to go to the bar down stair to get that wine. At that point all of were so upset that we ask for the check because we were not staying for the never coming diner. Once again we wait for another 45 min and no sign of waiter or manager or bill. we all got up and left at 10:39pm. That place was the major waste of time!

The round Japanese hot tubs on every balcony with there trellis of vines for privacy make this hotel a wonderful weekend ROMANTIC GETAWAY. Lots of things to do and enjoy in the Grove withing walking distance. We stayed while the hotel was being remodeled and were given a great rate because they said it was noisy. However the work crews were not there on the weekend which is when we stayed. Had a fantastic time and they even have a welcome reception with free wine and hors d'oeuvre. My boyfriend loved the huge plasma t.v. in the room. Very romantic..nice for a weekend getaway.

First of all, the Mayfair combines a strong sense of style with its gourmet Asian fusion restaurant Ginger Grove and the Jurlique Spa under one roof. Make sure you soak up the atmosphere in the bar and outdoor atrium. Beautiful brand new rooms and marble bathrooms. Hot tub on every balcony. The staff was courteous and our meals were creative and exceptional. My husband and I are coming back. Perfect for a romantic getaway. We booked online and had a wonderful stay.

A Gem in The Grove

I've dined at Ginger Grove on twice. The food is almost on par with the local heavyweights. Reasonable price (2 dined for $150: desert & wine bottle). The Butterfish main course is simply superb, & the skirt steak melts in your mouth. The lobster egg rolls & dumplings were great appetizers. The Ahi tuna left us disappointed since it was more of a ceviche. The service was slow and sloppy. The drinks and re-filling the water took a long time. The sin came on our second visit. In a group of 8; the waiter suggested that all the food comes out ""family style"". They served directly to each person, leaving 2 of us without food. We placed 2 more orders then the server tried to clear the plates before I was finished. This was NOT ""Family Style"". Regardless, I look forward to returning because the food was just outstanding.

I have stayed in many hotels including some luxurious ones but the Mayfair gives the impression that it is all for you. It is an excellent romantic weekend getaway for young honeymooners, every room (private balcony)is equipped with a japanese jacuzzi, comfortable beds, Dining and nightlife are just steps away.
