In October 2010 we placed a large order…

In October 2010 we placed a large order with South Seas Trading Company for a house under construction in the Virgin Islands. We paid in full up front, with an estimated arrival in three months from Indonesia. South Seas owners Donna and Gary processed our payment but neglected to order the furniture. After three months, In January 2011, we phoned about the delivery date only to discover there was no furniture on order. The RUSH order they placed in January was estimated to arrive in March but after many delays it reached Miami in July. Because they had neglected to place the order in October, Donna and Gary said they would cover the $2200 shipping cost from Miami to the Virgin Islands. Instead they shipped it C.O.D. with a promise to reimburse us in August...then in September...then in November. To date they have reimbursed only half the shipping price. The furniture is well made and handsome, but the customer service side of the experience was the worst we've ever had anywhere.
