We used to eat here for years. Don't know what is happening, even the waiters are complaining and frowning. Last week we went and had to return the food which was not warm enough. It was cold inside and warm outside and took forever to serve us. I dislike returning food for any reason, we have heard horror stories of what happens inside the kitchens. But we had no choice because we were not going to eat a cold meal and tostones ( fried green plantains) that were fried the day before and reheated to a point that were uneatable. To our amazement the couple next to us returned the food too. I don't know the reason. The waiter looked at us with a face of despair and told us: "this is not what it used to be any more, sorry, people are not showing up like they used to."I believe the good times of La Carreta ( the 80's ) are coming to an end. Possibly in the hands of other nationalities, unconscious cooks and desperate waiters to keep their jobs.
