Awesome Pet Care

I have been taking my two dogs to the Greater Miami Animal Hospital for almost 6 years and I have never been anything but impressed. They were recommended by 2 separate friends on separate occasions, and I am so happy I was guided in the right direction, especially after hearing horror stories about other vets.

Visits for ordinary vaccinations are great and worry free and we love Dr. Lacret's peaceful, calm approach to things. Plus, there are almost always last minute and Saturday appointments available. But for me the real test was when my dogs were attacked by another vicious dog. One of my dogs almost died because her stomach was ripped open but Dr. Horvath performed surgery right away and now almost 2 years later she is fine.

I would recommend them to anyone!

Avoid at all Costs

I have taken both my dogs there for over a year. They were innocuous enough for routine care, but when the need for surgery arose, I had THE WORST experience I have EVER had with any vet. It was a complete nightmare scenario. My dog was supposed to have three lumps removed. When I picked him up, I found they had made one of the incisions in the wrong place. When I brought it to their attention, they had the nerve to tell me I was wrong about it, and then proceeded to torture my poor dog by poking and prodding around when he was already in pain and dazed from anaesthesia. Sure enough, the place where they should not have operated has been a source of trouble. When I took him in to have them check the wound, they said he had dead tissue there and ""worst case scenario, we'll just cut around and excise that tissue. If I had it to do again I would have made the incision in a different place."" Now, to add insult to injury, that incision is infected. Never mind that he still has to be put through ANOTHER surgery to remove the lump they missed, but the cavalier attitude about putting a 12-year-old dog through anaesthesia AGAIN, and giving no importance to cutting him up some more is unconscionable. This is nothing less than sheer incompetence. Do your poor pet a favor, and find vets who know what they're doing!

Best Vets Ever!!!!

We have been going to Greater Miami Animal Hospital for well over 18 years. Dr. LaCret and Dr. Horvath are truly the best veterinarians. They not only love animals but they are extremely knowledgeable and compassionate.

We moved to Broward 12 years ago. Over the years we've had 5 pets go through those doors and even when the situation was grim they always made us feel better. When my cat passed away they sent me a condolence card!

We've tried other vets but none compared. They understand animal ailments and never rush to expensive treatments with out exploring other avenues of treatment yet remaining always mindful of the animals well being and comfort. We wish our primary Dr. was as involved. We will never opt for other vets.

We thank them for all the years of providing the same level of care as the first time we went there. You won't be disappointed. Their supporting staff are also extremely kind and its apparent you truly have to love animals to work there.

Good Vets!

I got a new puppy and didn't want to drive to my vet from Miami to Pembroke Pines, so looked up reviews and thought I'd try Great Miami Animial Hospital. The appointment was with Dr. Lacret. He was great...very caring and took his time. I went a second time and felt the same way.

I just made an appt for one of my other dogs and Dr. Lacret was not available, so it will be with Dr. Horvath. He also seems very caring, as demonstrated when I ran into him last time.

I hate to leave my vet in Pembroke Pines, but they're very close by and feel very comfortable with them. It looks like I will be taking my other dogs there going forward!

The best Vet Clinic EVER

They are friendly, not expensive, clean and truly love animals. I wish they treated people (except for the thermometer part). Sherry knows her sh*t, Dr. Horvath and Dr. Lacret are great and ever pet I have ever taken to them has been treated with the utmost love and respect, including a couple that I had to put down (they sent me a condolence card afterwards!!!!).

Even if I lived in Broward County I would make the drive to Coral Gables. I have been a pet owner for 40 years and I know good vets when I see them. I wouldn't take my babies anywhere else.

Excellent, Caring Vet

I just moved to Miami and was very worried about switching my cat's veteranarian. However, my worries were put to rest after my visit today.
I found the office to be clean, and welcoming. The Doctor was extremely knowledgeable, understanding, caring, and had a great sense of urgency. He also came across as a very genuine person. I would not hesitate to recommend this veterinary office to anybody. I'm no longer worried about finding a great vet in Miami...because I have now found a GREAT vet in Miami. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Also, my cat was purring during his examination, which shows that he was very relaxed. Usually this is not the case, so I was very impressed that the doctor was able to examine my cat in a relaxing environment. Also, I was not in shock by the bill at the end. I believe the rates for service are very fair and reasonable.

Dr. Horvath is the BEST veterinarian I've ever worked for.

He really cares about his patients, takes time and dedication.

I've learned a lot working with him.
