I adopted a German Shepherd (Shooter) on Friday and took him in to see Dr. Todd on Monday as a first time client. The staff was very pleasant, but I cannot express how competent, patient, and overly concerned Dr. Todd was. We were the last patient of the day and he spent almost an hour with us, despite the office now being closed. I was extremely impressed at their professionalism, but truly caring nature. He charged us a very reasonable fee for his services, and honestly, I would have paid double.
Dr. Todd even called us the next day out of the blue to see how my new dog was doing. I can honestly say, they have gained a client for life. Keep it up.
With sincere thanks. Shooter
I am sad and grateful. Today, I had to let go of my 15 1/2 Doggie. Curly was the most amazing animal ever. I took him to Dr. Derks office. They showed him love and care.
Ms.Lori, the recepcionist was very sweet and the nurse who help the doctor treated my Curly as if they knew him for ever. It really help my children feel better about letting go of our wonderful little dog. Thanks for your help. Maria Covoletski
The vets at this clinic have showed true care about the well-being of all of the 2 dogs and 6 cats we have brought here so far. The vets are knowledgeable and their prices are reasonable. Dr. Todd gave us "good samaritan" discounts for the care of the stray cats we brought in and he neutered one of the stray cats, the one which had'nt been fixed before we found this vet, for free. All of the staff at this vet have been nothing but friendly and sincerely caring about the animals I brought there. Out of 5 animal clinics, this is by far the best one I have been to.

We took our Rottweiler to Derks for 1 1/2 years; he had tons of health problems since the day he was born. The office staff are very nice, but after all this time and spending over $1000 in treatment our dog never improved under their vet's care. We switched to another vet in Miami and had immediate success - within 48 hours - our dog was a new dog. They tried various treatments here, but none of them worked and I find it extraodinary that when we took our dog to another vet he was cured immediately. Why didn't this practise take the same simple steps to cure our poor dog? They even told us to think about having him put to sleep because they couldn't find a way to cure him. Now he is a vital, healthy, well and active Rottweiler - cured of all his problems. I'm not saying don't go here, but they certainly were never able to solve our problems or help our dog.
