It was 11:35am on February 15th, 2010 I was trying to purchase an open box item at Best buy in Aventura. The open box item was a Mirage - Nanosat speaker that retails new for $199 and was marked down to $79. I was waiting in line at the Magnolia counter for 45 minutes to pay for the item. In my 45 minute wait, the 3 sales associated only processed 2 people. I finally reached the front of the line and the young woman sales associate scanned the item. I was told that the item was marked wrong and the open box item sales for $549. I told her that the item was marked at $79 and that price makes no sense as it retails for new at $199. I demanded to talk to the Magnolia supervisor. The supervisor concurred with the sales associate that the open box price is $549. I asked to talk to the General Manager. The Magnolia Manager told me that the General manger was not available. I called the Best Buy store 8 times throughout the day trying to talk to the General Manager but was either told he is not available or the person who answered the call simply hung up on me.
The Best Buy Store in Aventura is one of the worst stores I have ever!!!!! They do not even deserve a one star rating, but I had no negative star option. In times of massive un employment, I had to deal with unmotivated, arrogant and ignorant sales people and Mangers that are not available or responsive to customer complains. I would strongly advise anybody not to do business with this store. Needless to say that I am filing a complaint with the better business burro and Best Buy headhunters.
