Beware of this place

I used to enjoy this place and was okay with putting up with the overpriced watered down drinks until a recent visit to the bar with my friends. I had been there a couple of hours and between us we had spent $250 on drinks. At about 1am I was walking through the downstairs area to go to the bathroom and out of the blue a bouncer roughly grabbed me, opened the exit door and threw me outside and said I couldn't stay. I was quite confused as I was minding my own business and literally had done nothing out of the ordinary. I asked why I was being thrown out and he would not give me an answer. It's a private club and if they do not want me drinking there for whatever reason (or no reason apparently) that is their right I guess. I am happy to spend my money at other bars, but for the bouncer to physically grab me and push me out the door without first asking that I leave and for no reason at all is inexcusable. I later asked another employee why he did that and he said they do it all the time and not to take it personally. So apparently assaulting paying customers is acceptable and normal at Twist. I will not be back.

Delightful little Gay Bar

As a treat me and the girls decided to try TWIST as a stop before heading out to another club. TWIST did not fail to impress wonderful fruity drinks and wonderful company although I am from CT I truly felt welcomed at TWIST and caught the eyes of various cougars lol. Will recommend to any of my gals who go down for some fun in the sun.

Great atmosphere, weak & expensive drinks

We really liked the vibe at Twist, lots of different rooms to explore. Nice cross section of guys and some gals. Clean bathrooms. Good music. Nice outdoor areas. The drinks were awfully expensive and weak, they must be making a fortune. My cure BF had better luck getting real drinks than I did :(

cool bar

cool bar, actually 7 bars under one roof, the only one place in South Beach with free entrance and lowest prices for alcohol, I was there on Wednesday and even then it was a lot of straight and gay people, plus they had a show, loved it spatially my favorite vodka cranberry $7 and anywhere in Miami its cost $9 to $14

LAST YEAR IT WAS SO HOT,NOW IT IS HALF FULL, FRI & SAT NIGHTS......EVERYONES GOING TO CLUBS IN MIAMI.

Twist - One of the best gay clubs in the world!

Twist is my favorite club and whenever I'm in Miami - I go to Twist. In fact many times I visit South Beach just to go there. What I like about Twist is that it is made up of a half dozen or more separate bars - each with its own feeling and ambience. These bars are all interconnected and allow for great cruising. Besides the diversity of the club space itself, each bar features different type of music. There is a pub - that features video's and is reminiscent of something you would find in England or Boston, upstairs is a club type room that has DJ and dance floor and plays traditional house / tribal type gay dance music. Also on the second floor is a bar that plays hip hop and latino beat type stuff and has couches and a loungey type atmosphere - with a dance floor. Also on the second floor is a little patio bar. Downstairs again is another bar that features Latin music with a dance floor and also has a pool table and games. Outside in the back is a open air garden bar with tropical plantings and drinks to match. Another bar directly off this garden area features some of the hottest guys I've seen anywhere dancing on two stages. Besides all of this its the people that go to Twist that make it so great. Its packed with guys of all types. I'd venture to suggest that Twist is one of the best gay clubs in the world - and there is no cover charge to get in. I think their slogan sums it up best - never a cover, always a groove. Definitely worth making a trip to Miami Beach just to go to Twist. I know I do.

JUST GREAT.... Perfect place to have fun!!!

Twist is the perfect place to have fun in South Beach, not matter if you are gay or straight, the music is great!!!! you can go there with friends and drink and dance all night long, you would not even notice when is 5 AM, its just so much fun, because you could be in 7 different areas in the same place, with different type of music, for all taste, and no cover!!! WOW. Of course the service is good, they make you feel like special, like a real friend.

Only Place in SoBe w/ NO cover...

This place was very laid back, unlike most clubs in SoBe. Since it was the Winter Party while I was there it was packed most nights, so I'm not sure what a ""normal"" night would be like. I had a few run-ins with people cruising, but for the most part, it was tons of people all there for the same reason; to have a good time. Also, there were several bars in the one bar each with it's own unique feeling. I highly recommend going here if your pocketbooks are starting to run dry from the 20 $ covers at all other SoBe clubs.

Just a fun place. No cover, ever. Good security keeps and eye on the fun. (unfortunately sobe clubs have their share of pickpockets)\r \r Mostly friendly staff (avoid bar's on dance floors) cramped on busy nights.\r \r Twist has recently been going through a remodel and has the main dance floor out of service to reopen for it's birthday celebration. Will update in 1 week with the new vibe.

visited Miami over the weekend... one word: great! It has a bunch of different rooms, each with it's own distinctive type of music... very crowded and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves in a distinctly male atmosphere.

best south beach gay bar

whenever i visit south beach, this is first on my list. it doesn't have the attitude of other clubs; people are much more laid-back and friendly, and the guys are hot.
