I wonder if they even cook their donuts at the store?!

On each occasion I bought donuts from here they were stale. What's the point of eating baked goods when they're not fresh?

My idea is that bakery items are so cheap to make that the old inventory SHOULD be thrown out and fresh inventory should be produced.
Time -- is about 7:11pm.\r
Place -- Tastee on Clearview and W. Metairie\r
\r
So, my fiance' and I decided on Kastleburgers tonight. HAH !!! That's rich !! We pull up in the very small parking lot which wasn't too bad because the place wasn't at all busy. There were 3 guys sitting at a table and we were standing at the counter. A lady who worked there addressed us immediately and took our order. Sounds good so far, right? \r
We wanted 18 burgers 9 w/cheese - 9w/o. She then proceeds to the back (assuming it's the kitchen area). As she is there, another woman inquires of our order then proceeds to total it up. Seems better, doesn't it? After all, this could be considered good service. No waiting. \r
Here's the kicker---before the second person could complete the transaction, the first person comes out toting two bags. One marked reg and the other w/cheese. Now we're thinking ----- AWESOME! Hardly any wait time, HUH? Yeah!!\r
So we grab our bags and our drinks (oops, forgot to mention the drinks) and proceed to the car. We climb in, get ready to leave and almost immediately notice a strange aroma. SOMETHING SPOILED. It's coming from the cheese burger bag.\r
Now it's out of the car again to have these replaced. I go in and trying to be as discreet as I possibly can, ask the transaction lady if I can get some fresh burgers 'cause these weren't right. I explained how I can smeel the odor and I would just like some fresh. She hesitantly takes the bag from the counter and goes to the back. Then I hear mumbling. Which escalates to louder, clearer conversation. I think the cook (if that's what she is) is really P-Oed at this point. I hear "" Spoiled, how can these be spoiled?! I just took these off of the grill !! Go tell those people out there that they're crazy !!\r
I can sure tell you that I've been in the food service business long enough to know when food is spoiled. The old attiche is "" When in doubt, throw it out.""\r
I demanded a full refund which we got and, told eveyone my very own critique of the food and service. Within ear-shot of the customers at the table I then proclaimed that I would never patronize that particular resteraunt again! And I SURE HOPE THE OWNER/OWNERS OF THIS PARTICULAR RESTERAUNT READS THESE BLOGS. Reguardless, I'm going to get some phone #'s and make a few calls.\r
My fiance' made a good point, for the entire transaction Walk-in, order, pay then walk-out) took approximately 4 minutes. \r
Which one could only conclude that THERE IS NO WAY IN #*@% THOSE BURGERS COULD BE FRESH. \r
The service --- eeehhhnnnn !\r
My rating.... 0 stars! I pray that things will improve in future times for this one. But quite frankly, I just don't see it. Nighty- night yall !!\r
\r
\r

I SAID DO I HAVE TO COME IN AND BE SERVED. SHE LOOKED AT ME AND SHOOK HER HEADIN DISGUST. I WAITED ANOTHER FEW SECONDS AND GOT AGGRIVATED AND DROVE OFF . IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THEY FEEL LIKE THE CUSTOMER AT THE WINDOW IS SECOND RATE AND AN AGGRAVATION TO THEM. IT'S ON THE CORNER OF W.ESPLANADE AND TRANSCONTINENTAL IN METAIRIE LA. THANKS.
