As seen on the Better Business Bureau with a "F" rating - be careful. Deceitful, disingenuous, and and unprincipled plunderers.

I brought my Honda Passport into AAMCO in Metairie, LA around the middle of April 2012. They kept my car for over a week. We had it for two weeks when the transmission went out again. They towed it back to AAMCO, and kept it for two weeks. We got it back on a Friday at 3:30 and the next day, the transmission went out again. So they came and towed it back to AAMCO, where they kept it for another two weeks. Again, we picked it up on Friday and it broke down again on Saturday. We have gotten no help from anyone. We used our income tax money plus took out a $1,000 loan plus another $300 out of our pocket. They refused to pay for a rental car and kept giving us the runaround. Our total cost was $3800, which is a lot for us, not to mention the inconvenience. No one returned my calls and I went as far as contacted the corporate office and still no luck.
My husband and I have been greatly inconvenienced, being I have to get up earlier to bring him to work so I can get to work or doctor's appointments, and he has to find a ride home from work. Our other car is not in that great of condition, and is being used way too much and now it is giving us trouble. They do not seem to care. Obviously, they have money in the bank and a reliable vehicle to use. We, little people, don't seem to matter to them. As I am writing this, it has been two months and I have only had my car nine days out of those two months. I am at my wit's end, and I am seriously considering contacting the news media about this situation. My husband and I worked hard for our money, and we can't afford to put out that kind of money and be without a car. In my opinion, AAMCO of Metairie, LA is dishonest and unfair, including its manager, Mr. Bobby **, its owner Mr. Paul and corporate, Mr. Mike **. AAMCO owes us a lot more than a measly $300. Please help.
