Answered craiglist ad for 98 toyota 4Runner senior owend must sell $3900. Dirk said it was his personal car purchased recently for an old lady the move out of state, he need to sale to fix the heater in his home. Did not know anything about the truck or the interior parts - visor or door switch laying in the back. When pressed for full disclosure, he said " what does that mean" and by the way, earlier he mention he was an insurance adjuster. He only wanted to show the truck at nite, I mentioned for a truck with over 3400000 miles I would want to have it checked out during the day or in a better lite area. The exterior looked like it had 10K miles the interior looked like 1K miles. The de-chroming front bumper in contrast to the rest of the condition of the truck, did not look right. Dirk was very eager to meet, I asked where he was coming from to meet me Dirk said a friends place on Alma School and Warner. And would be bring he friend, Chris along. Whats all this mean, you decide.

A JUNK YADR?? HOW COULD THIS BE?? THE TRUTH IS IT IS THE BEST EXPIERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD BUYING A VEHICLE AND WOULD SEND ANYONE I KNOW THERE WAY!! EASY AND PAINLESS....SAVED THOUSANDS....AND SAVED TIME!! CHRIS WAS PROFFESIONAL AND NEVER FAILED US AT ANY POINT!! THANKS TO EVERYONE AT ALMA IMPORTS I WILL BE BACK IN FEBRUARY WITH MY TAX REFUND TO BUIY ANOTHER!!!!

Fergie is an awesome seller. I fix cars and trucks for a living and have never had a problem with any motor or transmission i bought from him. I also bought a vehicle that was listed on craigslist for a certain price and then found out about the "tax". Chris sold us a 1994 gmc suburban that clearly had some minor issues but he said he would "stand by this vehicle" and if we had any problems in the next couple weeks that we could bring it back and he would fix them. He advertised the vehicle as having "cold a/c" but there was NO a/c! So we took it to him to fix and it turned into a nightmare! He had my truck for 4 days and then gave it back unrepaired! It also didn't pass emissions and since we had it longer than 3 days they were no longer responsible. Learned a lot about the lemon law because of this ordeal, though. Definitely scam artists. Thank goodness I was able to repair the things that needed to be repaired because I do love the truck, just wish I had done business elsewhere. P.S. the mechanic who wa sworking on the truck was swearing and throwing tools all around. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

Used or rebuilt auto parts." With no proof of anything...you buy as is.. That's what I found out by getting a used car here. Who knows what is under the hood or has been done to it, other than what chris the salesman told me. Supposedly I bought a used 03 car with a new motor of only 10k miles on it. I drove it all the way to california with a rattling noise that started to happen halfway back. I found out it was one of the engine mounts that came loose. Was this my sign or proof that a new engine was put in? They have no paperwork to show for the new engine. After prodding for awhile to get the paperwork that chris said he could get, he came back with finding nothing he said, and just offered a 12mo.-12k mi engine warranty. I was probably dumb for buying it. Car has 160k miles on it. I'm from out of state and it was the exact kind of car I was looking for so I just did it. I may be lucky though. WE BOUGHT IT 5 MINS AFTER TEST DRIVE..NO HAGGLING LIKE BIG CAR STORES..NO RUNAROUND....THE SERVICE WE RECEIVED FROM CHRIS WAS EXCELLENT ...AND WOULD LIKE ARE NEXT PURCHASE TO BE THE SAME..WE WILL CALL AGAIN!! we were going to have to buy a new car,when my wife fouynd alma imports . they towed our car,installed a used engine ,gave us a great warrenty and had our car back to us in two days! YOU MUST TRY THEM. JIM N.

They had my part for a Volvo at 1/10th the price of new. Good guys. Like most shops, they move at their own pace but they delivered as promised.

These guys are scam artists!!!! They put a car on craigslist to sell, for private party no tax, then when we got there told us there would be tax, we thought we were getting a good deal so we bought the car. Took it to a mechanic - where they told us the car had been in a massive front end collision and the entire engine had been rebuilt with non-factory parts so my warranty is void on a car with only 17000 miles!!! When i asked "Chris" point blank if the car had any issues, he told me that the car was perfect, no issues, just need a bigger car. The carfax came up clean because they did all the work under the table and with bad parts!!!! $2000 later, out of pocket, my car is fixed, not perfect, but fixed. BAD BUSINESS KARMA!!!
