I have been on my spiritual path and part of the Mid-South Pagan Community for 25 years. A few years ago I was looking for a new group of like minded people to be a part of; I had been out of the community for a few years due to work and life. I went to all the local groups to see which one felt right to me. I found a new home at The Temple of the Sacred Gift. I have found a warm loving spiritual family and a wonderful place to worship. The present and former clergy have taken a dream and made it a reality, to provide a permanent place of worship that is open and available to the public. This is an accomplishment that is rare in the pagan community, where most groups meet at private residences, parks and public places. Being in the South where it seems that we only have two seasons winter and summer it is nice to have a indoor space to gather in, especially as I get older. The members of the Temple are a very diverse group in many ways, spiritual path, age, race, sexuality and experiences. The Temple is there to help you on “your path” and guide you to find your own answers. Come worship, learn and share.
I'm trying to reach a Rev. Melvin Lee at the church, who made a very unprofessional phone call to me a couple of days ago. Seemingly a supporter of this anti-Jesus Jewish Congressman (I guess he's male), Steve Cohen, possibly because he sees in him a false reflection of Jesus, who was Jewish, but Lee did not leave a first name nor the name of his church, nor his phone number. And he sounded as if he "owns" Memphis, and people from other places are not wanted there. Which sounds like the racist whites of long ago, speaking to black leaders coming to assist blacks in need of help in a town outside of the town from whench they came. But this Lee character needs to know that where ever there are black people, there I am also. No matter where it may be. And he (the Uncle Melvin) will be hearing much more from me in newsletters and the radio. As we also pursue the "after-hours activities of Cohen, and Pastor Lee, for the next two years. --- Rev. George Brooks of Murfreesboro, TN.

I have been a member of Temple of the Sacred Gift for two years and have found it to be a welcoming supportive environment for myself and my children. The HP and HPS go above and beyond to be be available to members. Members voluntarily pay dues of 10 dollars a month to help support the building and utilities. Temple has open ritual twice a month in their own space- not in a private residence. All activities are open and children are welcome. I have never encountered negativity at Temple.
