BEWARE! I paid in advance for a Thrifty car through their website. They advertised a cheaper rate if I paid in advance. Upon arrival, the clerk was not at the counter but in a small room behind the counter, talking on her cell phone. I had to ask for her to come to the counter to help me. She claimed they could not find my reservation though I had a copy of it in my hand. She said their "computer system" had been down and there was no way to access my reservation and payment. The clerk told me that I would have to call senior management. It was a Sunday and there was no one in upper management available. In order to receive a car, I had to pay a new rental amount (higher than the price online) and NOW, THRIFTY REFUSES TO REFUND THE FIRST PAYMENT THAT I MADE WHEN I BOOKED ONLINE. So, I made two payments for one rental car. The people working the claim have been ignorant and rude, bouncing me from one level to another. I've never written a negative review. However, I would hate for others to be treated the same way that I have been treated.
