There is a group of us that eat at the Germantown location on Sat. nights. We typically do not have to wait too long dependeing on how many of us come along. We had 13 this past Sat, and I wanted to say what a pleasant experience it was. The staff was awesome. I had called ahead because of the large party and they were helpful with suggestions. Our Server was precious. She was quick to attend to us, she was very nice and polite and the food came out quick. I often eat lunch at the Midtown location and have never had ""rude"" experience, but maybe not as effecint as the Gtown staff. I have always like the food. Love the menu...Favorite is the Alternative slice with the Hawian salad. My husband loves the Calzones.
Memphis Pizza Cafe on Madison is the best pizza in Memphis. Not only is the pizza excellent, the service is great and the atmosphere is awesome. The pizza crust is thin and crispy, lending itself perfectly to any topping you order. The cafe atmosphere relaxed and fun.

I've just recently moved to Memphis...and I had high hopes for MPC. I had heard great things. I really like the atmosphere...the beer is cold...but other than that, the food is nothing special. I think overall the crust/sauce is pretty bland and I have not been very impressed yet with any of the toppings.\r \r We've been twice. The first time the waitress forgot to put our order in and we waited on our food for about an hour. She was too scared to tell us so she had another waiter come tell us the pizza pie was free and from then on she ignored us and had him take care of our table. The second time, we went for lunch I just felt the staff was very rude. I understand maybe that's a part of the place's vibe. I moved here from Nashville and our favorite coffee house is kind of the same way. However, the food isn't that great so there aren't too many reasons for us to go back! Aside from the fact that maybe there isn't any better pizza places in the Memphis area.
The name should be Best Pizza Cafe!

The pizza is very good. The service can be a bit lazy sometimes. The atmosphere is very midtown. My only warning is this: Bring a jacket because the place is freezing.

Here's the thing about Memphis Pizza Cafe- it's geared more toward the younger crowd and those young at heart. It's not a romantic sit-down dinner. It's not a place to bring a date if you want the complete romance book fairy-tale ending. But the food is AWESOME. It's an excellent place for large groups. This place is not trying and has never tried to be 4 star restaurant. They do pizza, and they do it well. Before you criticize the place maybe you should remind yourself that you went out for some unique, really good, but affordable pizza. If you want all the fluff then go somewhere else and pay extra for it.

If you like a thin crust style of pizza, you'll love MPC. This is not a chain restaurant, so the quality varies on occasion, but the thin crust, sauce, cheese and great toppings always bring me back. The ambience is mid-town, the service is OK, the prices are reasonable. The Greek salad is also great and the beer is always cold. Personally, I can't stand Papa Johns style of pizza, so I love MPC. Pizza preferences vary, but for an original tasting pizza, I recommend MPC.

Memphis Pizza Cafe has the most terrible service I've ever encountered here in the Memphis area. It takes nearly 45 minutes to receive your food from the time you order, and gaining a waitress's attention is just out of the question. One evening, someone in our party asked to use their telephone. When he came back to the table, he'd told us that the phone wasn't working properly, and it had dialed the police by mistake. He hung the phone up. Five minutes later, the waitress accused my friend of using their phone to call 9-1-1 on purpose, and from then on it was nothing but attitude from the staff. As an adult, I found it absolutely ridiculous. My reccommendation? Go to Pie in the Sky. They're not some hyped-up over trendy joint like Memphis Pizza Cafe, and they actually care if you come back.

Okay, so I'm not like the world's best critic, but I do know what I do or don't like, and I think Memphis Pizza Cafe is pretty good, despite the company I had at the time.

Memphis Pizza CAfe is one of the best pizzas in town. For the money that you will pay they offer the most for your money. They are number one in my book.

Seated promptly, took for ever for waitress to take order, slow delivery to table, waiters and waitresses inappropriately dressed.

Went to Memphis Pizza Cafe based on rating and was disappointed. Lets check the rating Thin crust was good, 1 out of 2 Sauce was bland, 0 out of 2 Toppings, Italian Sausage lacked zest, 0 out of 2 Ease of access (location) 1 of 1 Atmosphere, 1 of 1 Service, 1 of 1 Cold beer, 1 of 1 Rating a 5 and thats a reach. This place has everything it needs except a exceptional pie.
