    Editorial review from Citysearch

Food does not taste authentic, and often seems to be bland. Salsa is not authentic, bland, and too spicy. Chips are overcooked and too thick. Great family atmosphere, and excellent customer service!

    Great mexican food

My favorite is the beef chimichanga and beef and cheese quesadilla mexicana. Yum! and cheese dip is also very good. It's very good.

    The Best Margaritas!!!

I have been a customer there for a long time. We rarely wait longer than a couple of minutes for a seat. The service is fast, and the food is much better than the bland national chain Mexican restaurants in the Wolfchase area. They have the best Margaritas around, and for the best prices. Bring friends, and sit on the patio.

    Very disappointed

    Provided by

We have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere at El Patron until our visit on 6/15/09. We tried to enjoy a nice dinner with our children on the patio, but a crowd next to us were using VERY fowl and inappropriate language. Repeatedly, the group also used a very derogatory word towards a certain race of people (that I teach my children NEVER to use). My nine year old son asked me why they were saying the word I told him to never use. I had to send my children inside to protect them from the language being used. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, the staff informed me they would notify the management. I also made the staff very aware of what words were being used and that children were present. The staff of the restaurant did not address the issue in any way and let the crowd continue with their offensive behavior. I am a long-time resident of Bartlett and our family has been loyal customers of El Patron, but after the experience we had yesterday and the lack of responsiveness from the management, we will no longer give them our business. I will strongly suggest to all of my friends and associates to not give El Patron in Bartlett their business due to the business' tolerance of such offensive behavior.
