This is a lengthy story, but worth your time if you are considering City Auto. I have not had a great experience with my 2006 Murano purchased from City Auto in Feb 2012. I understand that these are used cars, so I don't expect them to be perfect, but I have been constantly in & out of the shop with this vehicle since the day I brought it home. I mean that very literally, as the car did not even make it from t... view moreWas this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse
I have NEVER been to a car lot where the salesmen walk right pass you as if you don't exist! I had to literally hunt down a saleman to inquire about a car. The first saleman was applying a cityauto sign on the back of a car and he never took the time to look up at me when I was inquiring about a car but he did somehow seem to mention how city auto sales more 600 cars a month. The second guy wasnt to eager to help e... view moreWas this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse
City Auto Sales is an umbrella for 30 different individual contractors, each of them with their own section of the lot. There are individual price stickers with Contractor/salesman names and numbers on every single vehicle. Most people who come in and are appalled at how salesmen arent helping them, are simply unaware of how the dealership works. And yes, used cars may in fact get high-mileage, especially if many of them are trade-ins. There is no way a contractor can personally ensure that a used vehicle will perform the way it was intended straight out of the factory, and as such, it should be pretty easy to see why they cannot put a Warranty on the vehicle. However, many contractors chose to put a limited warranty on some of their used vehicles free of charge of the customer.
My husband and I were looking for an inexpensive car for our teenage son. Found the perfect car but they were asking too much! After seven weeks of being persistent, playing hide and seek with the car they made a deal. We even saw the carfax. That was mid April it is now mid June and we had to replace the compressor! To the tune of $825.00 dollars! Buyer, be careful even if the car gets a clean carfax. Was this review helpful?Yes(1) No|Flag Abuse
At City Auto, customers deal directly with the broker who bought or traded for the vehicle for sale. Without a sales manager in the midst of the process, you can be assured that it's the best price!
In Febuary, on the fourth to be exact, I went to a subsidiarie of city auto, 1st Choice Auto and had a wonderful experience buying my car. This is the first one I have ever bought from a dealership, so I am very green about these things. It is now March the 14th and I still have no tags. When you buy a car from the sub. they still have to send all the paper work through City Auto for some unknown reason. I am very f... view moreWas this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse
