Bari Ristorante

Not a great experience. Our waitress was very inconsistent and not very helpful or accomidating at all. I understand that people have bad nights so this wasn't the biggest issue. Our biggest issue was that my wife, who is pregnant and also a vegan, was extremely limited on options to begin with. Because she is a vegan, we're very understanding of the fact that there aren't always alot of options, however they were completely unable to help meet her dietary choices. Not only were they completely unwilling to subsitute components of the dishes, say maybe leave off anchoives or becasue she's pregnant and she can't eat soft cheeses like goat cheese, maybe leave it off. Apparently their "chef" thinks so highly of his dishes that "every component makes his dish special." Well how about think outside of the box and be able to help cater to the needs of say a vegan or pregnant woman. It's not like we asked for you to substitute anchoives and goat cheese for shrimp or steak, but maybe the option to put parmasean instead of soft cheese would have been a nice option, or hey how about you throw in a few pieces of veg. instead of anchoives. Guess we should have stuck to going to Andrew Michael's or Iris, where they are always more than accomodating of needs. And probably why they continue to win numerous awards and are consistently in the Top of everyone's Best in Town class.

good food, fresh and tasty.

My husband and I had out 1st date at Bari and went back for our 1 yr wedding anniversary- and we'll keep going back for the best food in town!! Take advantage of the knowledgeable staff and ask your waiter to recommend some cheese pairings. Have fun and try a few dishes you've never heard. This isn't a rush-in and rush-out restaurant so take your time and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. Looking forward to Valentine's Day @ Bari!
