Established in 1998, Allusions Salon & Day Spa is one of the leading salons in Tennessee. It specializes in a variety of facial treatment, such as skin brightening, medicated clearing, intensive moisture, Cellex-C recovery and contour masque. The salon offers a range of hair design services, including perming, straightening, highlighting, trimming and texture wave. It also provides hydrating facial, sports manicure, and beard and mustache trimming services for men. The salon offers a number of therapeutic massages, such as hot stone, reflexology, mother-to-be and deep tissue. In addition, it provides hair removal, ear piercing, and eyebrow and eyelash tinting services. Allusions Salon & Day Spa has received various awards on regional and national level.

Well the "greatest stylists ever…
Well the "greatest stylists ever" were actually stealing, and the new owner called them out on it, thats why they left. They call the salon and harrass the employees, and also stop by from time to time to spy. I used to be one of the girls clients, but she didnt even tell me she had moved! They didnt tell anyone because they did it behind everyone's back. I arrived at Allusions looking for my former stylist, and actually witnessed their true colors myself. The owners at Studio V are very unprofessional and act like highschool girls.

Are you saying not to go to the business? I have recieved a gift card and have mixed reviews on this salon. I am really wanting to give them a try. Did you have a bad experience?

Thats not true,carolyn lee had no choice but to take it back over, because the people she sold it too,ran the business into the ground,and she was still working their,and after she took it back over,she made the former owners sister manager.

I used to be an employee of Allusions…
I used to be an employee of Allusions many years ago. I don't know who owns the business now, but I do know then, as employees, we were encouraged as were the tenants of the plaza and all patron, to push the ratings to get that #1 spot. We were also told by other salons when the inspectors were coming, be it hours or a day before they came so we could make sure the salon was in top order. We had many employees that should not have been there and that was the reason I left. I will not recommend this salon to ANYONE EVER.

I just had the best experience at Allusions.! Autumn did an awesome job on my hair and catered to my every needs. Just an fyi for past customers, they now have a new owner so I would definitely give them another try.

Not any more
I went to Allusions for all my skin care, hair care and massages for years. Starting about two years ago all of the stylists, massage therapists and mani/pedicurists started leaving in droves. No one would say exactly why, but I think I can figure it out now. I no longer go there as the service and cleanliness has dropped way off. They may have been the top salon in Bartlett before, but not any longer. I did not know you could vote, but count me in on voting against them. There are a number of better salons in Bartlett. I am unaware of any others in Bartlett that have facials and massages, but there are plenty not far down the road in Cordova. Nevery again Allusions.

I never complain
I go through my life trying to make the best of every situation but I just could not do that with Allusions...I read the other reviews and I saw how Carolyn was flaunting the fact that they continue to get the best salon in bartlett...maybe they are the only ones actually voting...and maybe a couple regulars...I just cannot see how they could possibly be the "best" salon...now that i know you can vote on the "best" salon...I will vote for anyone but Allusions...and carolyn the manager or owner I guess was the rudest to me...they took forever to get to me..and was rude...the receptionist was goofing off and it was a miserable experience...I feel like I wasted 2 hours of my life by going there....best of luck to you Allusions...I will pray that you find professionalism.

Allusions Salon & Spa was under new owners at the time of your visit. The salon is no longer owned by them. Salon and staff professionalism is a priority to us. Our services are given in a timely manner and we do not want our clients to wait for their services. We greet all clients with a friendly smile and are trained in a professional manner to assist you. I am sorry for your bad experience in 2008 but that will not happen now. I sincerely urge you come into the salon and experience our quality service and our friendly staff. We hope to see you soon.

The Best Experience...
Everyone was so friendly.It was such a wonderful atmosphere.I was so relaxed I did not want my spa day to end. I felt like a new person! I would Highly recomend Allusions for anyones salon or spa needs. The staff goes out of there way to make you feel as comfortable as if you were family. Thank you again to such a wonderful staff especially to Cookie, April Slate, and Amber, you all made my day a perfect dream!

The service is great and the staff is well mannered and ready to help. The salon is beautiful and the massage rooms make you want to stay forever. Very clean and nice.

bad service
I would not recommend this salon/dayspa to anyone. The so called head nail tech use unclean implements,unclean pedicure chairs had dirt rings around them,just nasty.April Slate and Amber need to be fired asap. And employees performing services not under there license.

I am sorry you felt your service was not of the quality you wanted. We use HIV/Hospital grade germicidal products to disinfect all nail and pedicure stations. This process is done after every client, before we do a service on the next client. To insure added disinfection, we also use dry sterilizers to disinfect all the implements we use on clients. We pride ourselves in giving a professional service to all the clients coming into our establishment. All our professionals are state licensed. Our salon has been voted the Best Salon in Bartlett for nine consecutive years. I do not believe we could have accomplished this high satisfaction of service to so many people over nine years if we were dirty or unprofessional. We are diligent in maintaining a clean, safe, friendly,professional salon. I also don't understand the unhappy clients' name because they used the names of two employees to sign the complaint.

I would not recommend this salon to anyone that cares about their hair or skin...They are unprofessional and stylist are doing work that is not licensed to them...sorry

We are a professional salon with all our staff licensed. We are inspected regularly by the state of Tennessee Board of Cosmetology (98 rating) and the State Board of Health Sciences (98 rating). Each person has a specific license and they do that particular service. All our stylists have between 3 and 39 years of experience. All our skin care therapists have 2 to 8 years experience. Our massage therapists have 2 to 4 years experience. Nail care technicians have 3 to 15 years experience. As you see we are all very experienced in our fields of expertise. I invite anyone to come and experience for themselves, the quality and professional services we offer. Voted Bartlett's #1 Salon for nine consecutive years!
