        Lake Area Animal Hospital is a well-established, full service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care as well as full grooming and Boarding services. We have two offices conveniently located in Hawthorne and Melrose, FL. We offer expanded boarding services for dogs and cats, as well as a grooming salon and spa. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. Our two facilities include well-stocked pharmacies, in-hospital surgery suites, in-house x-ray capabilities, closely supervised hospitalization areas as well as indoor boarding kennels at our Melrose facility with outdoor walking areas.

        Dr. Rea & Dr. Cummins as well as the staff at Lake Area Animal Hospital are wonderful and compassionate with they do, I'm glad yo be apart of their lovely clinic! I highly recommend bringing your fur babies to be seen by them!! You'll get a great experience!
