I just recently moved to Melbourne from Erie, Pennsylvania, so that I could escape the horrible Winters and all the snow associated with it! Anyway, the day before Veteran's Day this year, I saw a commercial on television stating that Applebee's was saluting our Active Military and Veterans by providing us with a FREE Dinner! When I arrived at the restaurant, I was somewhat overcome with the turn-out! We were initially told that it would be approximately 90-minutes before we could get a table. Fortunately though, I was speaking with another couple who were also waiting for a table, both of whom were Active Military. We were just starting to talk about our Military experiences when one of the Waitresses came up to us and asked if we wouldn’t mind sharing out table with the couple that we were already talking with. We all agreed and were immediately seated! After the Waitress took our drinks order, she then proceeded to pass-out the special Military Menus for us to select our Dinners from. We all decided to order different meals so that we could sample all the various meals that they were offering. In my opinioin, I found each and every meal to be fantastic! Even the service from the Waitress was ideal! This was quite a surprise for me because the Applebee’s in Erie, Pennsylvania, has terrible service and only average (at best) food quality. So, based upon my experience with this Applebee’s, not only would I recommend it to everyone I know, I will definitely go back for Dinner there ANY TIME!
New favorite place. Stopped in for a late lunch, and was most pleasantly surprised at the new and welcoming decor. (Found out there is a new owner who's only been there for 9 months.) They serve breakfast (any time), lunch, and dinner with extensive choices in each category. Our server welcomed us at the door and was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. My husband had the Italian Stallion, and I had the Gyro - both were delicious and large portions. We sprung for dessert too, (a seldom known pleasure), but after finding out they were all made in-house by the chef's wife we couldn't resist. Hubbie had the tiramisu and I had to stop him from licking the plate. But I had this brilliant thing called Gala Buriko. It's phyllo dough filled with a very light vanilla custard with warm cinnamon & orange syrup poured over it. It was a huge portion and I thought for sure I would have plenty to take home - did not happen, I ate the whole thing. Nick, the owner/chef, came out to the table to introduce himself and ask if we enjoyed our food - nice touch - and as we were leaving we noticed him checking in on some of the other folks. All in all it was a lovely, serendipitous surprise and we will certainly be going back.
We went furniture shopping last weekend and went to Sleepyheads first because we saw they had really good deals. After finding things we liked, we went looking around at other places. We ended up coming back the next day ready to purchase because they had the furniture we liked best and the best price. As I was waiting to be approved by financing, I read all these four previous reviews. It honestly made me nervous and I was ready to walk out of the store. I'm glad I didn't because our three piece sectional couch, ottoman, and dining room table with eight chairs were just delivered this morning. We couldn't be happier. I had him assure me that my stuff would be delivered the day he had said. I'm not sure why all the other people have had such bad luck with delivery. Make sure you ask that what you're ordering is in stock and where it is being shipped from. Maybe that makes a difference. I will gladly go back for bedroom furniture when ready. Yes, their customer service isn't great but we're thrilled with the products. The delivery guys came in and opened and set up everything and were professional. The only advice I can give is to ask those specific questions so you know exactly when you would get your furniture.
