Portofino Villas

I wouldn't ever recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Aside from being disorganized, they went through four different managers in the year that I was there. My biggest complaint was that I was moved into my apartment for 3 weeks and my ceilings collapsed. The ceilings in my living room and my bathroom completely collapsed and left me at 4 in the morning with ankle deep water. I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone from the apartment, even the "emergency" line until almost 2 hours later and then from there it took another 45 minutes for someone to come out to my apartment. They told me that they would repair all the damage in a week while I was on vacation, four weeks later they had patched the ceilings poorly and painted over the water stains on the wall. And left me to pay for the power bill they had run up using all their fans and my air conditioner. Never once offering ANY type of assistance. I should have known then to get out of there at once. One month before my lease was up I had started moving my stuff out because my husband had gone into the Army and would not be able to help me move, so I took things slowly. 3 weeks before I was supposed to be out the same thing happened again, only worse with more damage. I was not at my apartment at the time but staying with my parents and did not receive a phone call telling me what had happened, it was up to me to walk in and see all the damage myself and on top of that their maintenance men used MY vacuum to try and clean up the mess completely destroying it. I went to the managers office and she lied about trying to call me and wouldn't give me any compensation for not being able to stay at my apartment for the rest of the month. She acted as if she already had my money for the last months rent she has no reason to bother with me or try and make me happy. This is a terrible apartment complex all the way around. Poor construction and terrible management. Please don't live there for your sake!
