Confections of A Cake Lover

The cakes are gorgeous, unfortunately the rest of the experience was not. I had gone with my sister to taste test these cupcakes for her wedding day. I absolutely LOVE cupcakes, however these were extremely dense. My sister enjoyed them so she decided to use this bakery to create her wedding cake.

She ordered a cute cake for the rehearsal dinner. It was a donut with a state trooper (her husband) and herself (bride) on it. The cake was adorable. BUT, the big BUT, the cake was not cooked. It tasted like there was coconut in it. I don't mind coconut, but other guests were not too pleased with a coconut tasting marble cake. No one at the dinner finished an entire piece.

At the wedding, the cake was over 2 hours late. It finally arrived AFTER all of the guests arrived and AFTER the venue started to bake a small cake so that they would at least have something to cut. The event planner contacted the bakery only to be hit back with rude remarks. All that was expected was an apology but it couldn't be offered.

The wedding cake looked gorgeous, taste - not so fabulous, but I only tasted the vanilla.

If you are going for looks and style, this is your place. If you're going for taste, this is not the place. If you're looking for both, I would check out somewhere else.

I ordered a small GF cake 2 weeks ahead of time. When ordering, the gal was super rude and seemed put out that I wanted to place an order. So, the night before it was due, I got a rude message on my phone that the cake wouldn't be ready and to call. I called, and she said that she couldn't do it. She offered me my money back, or to make GF cupcakes instead. I opted for the cupcakes because I already had this party planned! So, the next day, I picked them up. She was rude yet again, charged me the full amount for a cake in place of the cupcakes, and when we bit into them later on, we found out they were brownies! So, I paid $40 for brownies! I had GF brownie mix at home for $2 and I could have done that myself! So, in the end, I paid $40 for a GF cake that I never received, had rude and snarky comments from her, and ended up with brownies that I could have baked myself for $2. She lied. I was told I would get cupcakes and received brownies and she charged me for an item I never received
