To start, this is not an area known for great food. If you look hard enough you can find some, but those native to the area don't seem to know any better. Village Pizza is not great, but it's not bad. There are areas of improvement though. When left unattended, some employee(s) have tendency to have a disregard for the final product. In other words, burning pizzas to "black" and actually boxing them anyway and handing them to the unknowing customer. The rice balls are good, but I would suggest leaving out the peas and adding more cheese. Another area for improvement is their take-out menu. They have named pizzas with no descriptions of what are on them. It would be alot easier to know what is on them instead of calling up constantly to ask. Overall the food isn't bad, better than some in the area, but there can definitely be improvement in the area of ingredients, spicing, and flavor. Additional items on the menu, like a NJ diner-style chef salad, cheesecake, etc., would be most welcome and would set them apart from other restaurants.
