I purchased my AC units from Richair just under 2 years ago. Today, the system is out of refrigerant and inoperable. I went with Richair because they did a great job of getting me technical specifications and helping me to make good decisions about installation in the planning stage. During the installation there were frequent miscommunications between the installers and the planning team, which led to the installation taking longer than expected and leaving me with about 15 large holes in my ceiling that I had to repair myself, despite the workers telling me the entire time not to worry about the holes because there was another crew coming to patch them. My system worked fine for about a year. Starting a few months ago, it wasn't generating heat or cooling the air at all. When I reached back out to Richair, they treated me like I was a new client. They told me that they had no record of me doing any business with them other than the installation. $20K into our relationship, they required me to pre-pay for a service call. I was hesitant, but felt like I had no choice. When the repairman showed up, he laughed when he told me that there wasn't a drop of refrigerant left in the system. He asked who installed the system. When I reminded him that it was their job, he shrugged his shoulders and told me that it would be $325 to replace the refrigerant and another $1600 (minimum) to do a leak check on the system that they had installed. When I spoke to corporate, certain that they would stand by their work, I heard back that they would be happy to sell me a 12-year service contract for $4600 for my system. At that point, I decided to stop throwing good money after bad and found a new company to do the work. I informed them that I would be writing a review and, after posting my original review, a law firm contacted me with a cease and desist letter, threatening to sue me unless I took it down. I urge caution in working with this company.

I have signed the contract with Richair Comfort Solution on Feb-14 2018 and the very next day I called Richair Comfort Solution to cancel this and I spoke to a man named Louis. We agreed on full refund as I was fully within cancellation rights and Mr. Louis advised me that it will take about a week for the refund to appear in my bank account. Since it didn't, I followed back again with Louis and he asked me to give it another few days. I have waited another week and since I still did not get my refund I called back and asked for Mr. Louis and at that time I was told that Louis is no longer with Richair Comfort Solution and I was transferred over to a manager Amanda where I explained the whole situation and Amanda mentioned she needs Regional Manager approval for this and will get back to me. Eventually refund was approved minus $310.15 for re-stocking fees. It took numerous emails back and forth between me and Amanda where I tried explaining this over and over again that I requested this to be cancelled the very next day with Mr. Louis when he was still with Richair Comfort Solution. Over the next 5 weeks this case is being escalated from Manager Amanda to Regional Manager to General Manager and eventually to owner Boris. Long story short they refused to issue me a full refund despite the fact that I requested this to be cancelled the very next day!

I am very disappointed on Richair Comfort Solution tactics regarding this case and lesson learned here. When you need to cancel your order (even if it's the next day) don't just call them - you need to go over to them and request this in writing otherwise they will lie through their teeth and refuse to issue refund.

The service was incredibly good. They installed two mini ductless mitsubishi units in our wine store, Blue Angel Wines. They showed up on time, even adjusted their schedule to meet our store's hours last minute. Sales people are knowledgeable and helpful. So far the system works extremely well.

It was ale assure to work with Peter D from Richair. He is extremely knowledgeable about the ac/heating units that we purchased. The whole team was very professional including the installers and service technician. We purchased three Panasonic units. They are working quietly and efficiently. We highly recommend this company to others.

I want to say thank Richair Comfort Solutions for making my home energy efficient with the ductless air conditioning and heating system that your team installed. Unfortunately Hurricane Sandy came and destroyed all the air conditioners so I thought it was time to find a better solution. I called Peter D from your company Richair and he was terrific. He came to the house and reviewed our situation and helped us select the units that would work for us. The units look great and are extremely quiet. I look forward to savings on my gas and electric bill. Your professional team from beginning to end were outstanding. I am extremely satisfied with the installation and the units (total of 4 inside and 2 outside). Thank you for a great product and employees that know their jobs well.

These guys did a great job, start to finish. They installed a ductless mini-split system in my pre-war apt. building last month. Fred Budla, the salesman, was terrific. He explained all the options to me, came to my apartment, and must have sent me 20 different estimates when I kept changing my mind. On the day of the installation, Fred came by to ensure that everything was going smoothly. The installation team was courteous and professional. When a neighbor later complained about where condensation was dripping, Rich Air sent someone out to redirect it (at no charge) for me, a job that took a couple hours. The price was competitive with the other companies I called, and they recommended an electrician who's also a stand up guy. Well done.

Air conditioner installation. Positive experience

I was recommended to Rich Air Mechanical as I was reluctant to pay hundreds for buying a ductless air conditioner from AJMadison and this was the company that helped me out. So when I asked for a quote they have not even gave me it telling me that this is not even necessary as the price for Fujitsu air conditioner already includes the service costs! Hardly to believe but they kept their word! I think I can't not leave Rich Air Mechanical - one of the best air conditioner seller in New York unpraised. The guys know what they do and they do it professionally.

This contractor is outstanding. The sales representative came to my house three times and explained everything in great detail. The installation crew was exceptionally skillful. Overall, this was a very positive experience and I look forward to installing two more units in the spring
