Carr Properties

I lived in a Carr Property unit from early 2009 until mid 2012. I consider myself a loyal renter that always paid on time. I decided to forget quickly and overlook many issues that we had because we had been treated fairly. Then we gave our notice to vacate. Tim was a joke on the move out inspection. Our place was cleaner than when we moved in. After over 3 years of paying rent, I was the enemy.

I overlooked:
- them hiring the cheapest roof contractors that left supplies (including nails) everywhere for kids to pick up and play with
- their idiot maintenance group falling through my ceiling twice
- our garage ceiling falling through due to the cheap contractors
- our walls having a ripple to them due to severe water damage before we moved in that was not taken care of properly.

There are other places to rent in town then to give hard earned money to the Carr's.

I currently live in one of their apartments. I had to have a co-signer as well. Their policy was if you did not pass the credit check you would need one. No big deal. I have not had any other issues with them. My apartment is a little outdated but not trashy, the hallways get a little messy sometimes but that's from other tenants leaving trash in halls and laundry areas. They are usually cleaned every few days.

I had actually wanted to look into an apartment, but then found that you would need a co-signer. With my roommate and my income and stable job, they would not even let one of us just have a co-signer. When I said that we will have to look other places they simply said "okay, have a nice day" as though it didn't really matter to them because they will find someone else. Sure shows how much they really care about their customers. It was always hard to reach Lindsay as well, while we had to leave a voicemail after voicemail and finally getting back after two or three days. I would not recommend this company. Their apartments look as though when you move in you will like it, but in all sincerity it looks like trash after awhile.
