He started his legal career in 1997 at the law firm of Rocha & Ambrosi, S.C., a premier civil, business and constitutional litigation law firm based in Mexico City. Rocha & Ambrosi was formed by attorney Salvador Rocha, former Supreme Court justice, senator and congressman, and by Rafael Ambrosi, also a prominent attorney. After several years of practicing as an attorney in this law firm, Mauricio moved to White & Case, S.C., an AmLaw 100 law firm, where as an attorney he was able to combine his law and business degrees, and gain exposure to international business and corporate transactions. He later joined SAI Consultores, S.C., an investment banking and law firm formed by Jaime Serra, former Secretary of Trade and Industry and Secretary of Finance, and other government officials and attorneys involved in the negotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement, to provide solutions in matters of antitrust law, arbitration law, corporate law, international trade disputes, international law, investment banking and strategic planning.
