The first time I tried Five Guys was when I lived in CO and due to the food experience there, I vowed to never eat Five Guys again because I thought their food was disgusting. However, now that I moved back to my homestate, I just went to a LA location and had their bacon cheeseburger with Cajun fries. It was absolutely delicious! It was like eating at a completely different food chain. The burger was juicy and seasoned nice as well as the beef being well done. The Cajun fries were hot straight out of the grease and wasn't too spicy. It was perfectly seasoned. There were a lot of people in there and I still didn't have to wait too long at all. I was practically in and out. I highly recommend eating at this location to get a better opinion of what all of the buzz is about with Five Guys burgers. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because I'm not a fan of the type of buns they use. It's not as soft of buns as I would hope it to be.

While on a trip with my Religion In Primative Societies class down to New Orleans to study Voodoo, we ventured into the Acme Oyster House one evening to dine on some authentic New Orleans food. The atmosphere of this place is exceptional. The food at this place is out of this world! I'm not much of an oyster person. So, I dined on Jambalaya and Hush Puppies. I absolutely fell in love with both of these items. I had honestly never had Jambalaya before but after eating it at the Acme Oyster House, I'm addicted. Also, the Hush Puppies were outstanding. Being from Tennessee, I'm used to these big fried balls of cornbread mixture with onions in it. So, it was just delightful to receive a bowl of these small fried balls with onion and green peppers inside with a sweet yet almost savory flavor. I look forward to returning to New Orleans hopefully in the near future just to eat at the Acme Oyster House.
My new favorite place. I've been to Lakeview Harbor many times in the past and have usually had a good experience. Food was pretty good and the atmosphere is for the most part upbeat. I recently heard that the owners made some changes to management and wanted to see what the buzz was all about. I have to say that the place seemed different in a much better way. The service, including the hostess and waiter were great. Although the place was busy we were seated quickly and our orders were taken faster than I ever remember. Better yet, the food came out in about the time I expected. Ever better yet, it was delicious. I even had some guy named Gene come by and ask me if everything was OK. I later learned he was part of the new management. Great experience. Great meal. Great time. See ya soon Lakeview Harbor
