Massage Envy - Maple Grove

Horrible!!!! Absolutely horrible!!!!!

Buyer beware!!!

The Maple Grove location is an absolute scam. Mediocre massages at best. Staff turn over constantly..

The contract is just ridiculous. They forget to mention that its a year "binding" contract. They will not let you out of it without paying the full year. I got roped into the contract. In the summer I got a new cc.. Forgot I have to tell massage envy - my payment of course was declined.. They called me immediately not to advise me or let me know politely.. They called me to tell me I will be sent to collections!!!! Just ridiculously rude about it.

By February I had 4 massages built up from not going. So I called to ask about their "hold" policy which I had overheard them telling to someone else.. That you can put a hold on your account for either 2-3 months for $5 a month..

My contract had me still owing march and April.. So I asked if I could just pay the $5 for each of those months and still use my 4 massages.. To which she said absolutely not a problem.

2 days later I called to make an appointment.. Low and behold my contract was terminated... Claiming I hadn't paid since January and so it was delinquent so they just choose to terminate.

Weird how I didn't get the collection call on that one... Even more weird I had gotten my mediocre massage in February.

Absolute scam. That manager is just a witch!

I agree. I was also mislead into a contract without knowing it was for 12 months (there was no "fine print" and the manager was dishonest and very misleading). I will definitely spread the word to all of my friends and anyone else I know to choose a different location, and tell them that they will be bound to a 12 month contract with no way out. I have already deterred my co-workers and family from going there. What a terrible experience and way to do business!!

I have read some bad reviews on Google however from my personal experience in customer service it is always the unhappy ones that write reviews. I have been a happy client at Massage Envy for over a year and I have not experienced any problems. I knew what I was signing up for because I asked questions and read my contract. The therapists are knowledgeable and the staff is friendly. My advice...pay your dues on time, show up for your appts or call in advance to reschedule and relax and enjoy your massage!

Stop! Listen to this review. Look on google places reviews as well. I am not the first one to have this experience. The Company name should be "Massage Disappointment" instead of "Massage Envy". You pay for a hour massage and get 45 minutes "Hands On Massage". They say "50 Minutes Hands ON Massage" Yeah Right! Then they want you to tip like it was an hour. LOL! They tell you to your face the contract is month to month. You go to cancel and they say "didn't you read the fine print". One year contract. No Cancelations. Don't trust anyone in this company. Very rude! Stacy the manager is the rudest one. (Heartless) The people running this company are running this location into the ground. Mark my words!! This location has limited time doing business. Horrible.....
