My Salon

I went here because my normal nail tech wasn't available. The salon was very beautiful and the staff was very nice. I was having gels done (not acrylllic nails). They were terrible. I had to correct her several times because initially she didn't extend several of my nails as I requested (and then she never fixed them so my nails were all different lengths), then she left them looking way too wide and sharp on the corners. After I left I was able to take a good look at my nails and they looked absolutely terrible. It would take forever and a day to describe how they looked, but basically the stick-ons from walmart or target would have looked better and possibly lasted longer. I even asked a couple friends to look at them right after and they were appalled. I called the salon back and spoke with the owner. She was polite and offered to have them redone. I assumed I would be with someone else - but they had me back with Brooke which was super awkward. She re-did them and they were better, but still not good. I have to say that I would be stunned if she would have walked out of the salon with her nails looking the way mine did. I had to go back the following week somewhere else to get a fill because they were done so thin that 2 of them broke and another was cracked - and I have NEVER broken a gel nail before. They had to practically be redone and that nail tech said they looked like upside down spoons (pretty accurate, really). I really feel like i got scammed and my nails are ruined because I had them done initially and had to basically have 2 fills in about a weeks time because they were done so poorly. Do NOT go here for gels. A complete waste of money and they're $10 more expensive than Salon Essentials with far less skill.

Avalon Hair and Nail Salon is where I go for everything! My manicures, pedicures, eyebrows, and hair. They have excellent service that is friendly and helpful. The prices are just right, and when I have my hair done it always turns out just the way I wanted. I always recommend them to my friends, so I figured that I should recommend them to everyone through the Internet!
