Fine Furniture Since 1830.For almost two centuries, when Moses Clore began making furniture, the Clore family has been creating heirloom quality furniture. The E.A. Clore Sons' factory and showroom are located in Central Virginia, nestled in the beautiful Hebron Valley, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are about 2 hours from Washington, DC and an hour and a half from Richmond, Virginia.Each piece of Clore furniture is crafted to remain beautiful for years to come, employing traditional techniques such as mortise-and-tenon construction and dovetail joinery. Using kiln-dried hardwoods of cherry, walnut, mahogany and oak, our traditional styles are timeless, with something for almost every room in the home. Well-known for our sturdy and simple chairs, each with a seat of handwoven rush, they grace the dining rooms of many restaurants.We understand the occasional need for modifications and can provide a quote for custom work as well. Churches, schools and businesses may contact us concerning their special needs, as well. We are proud to also showcase upholstery from Norwalk Furniture of Ohio and mattresses from Tempur-Pedic and Custom Comfort by Winn. Gifts from Simon Pearce, Robert Abbey lighting, plus local original art round out our offerings to make your home a beautiful sanctuary.
