Chevron

I paid by credit card at the pump to fill up my vehicle at this station today. I engaged the automatic shut-off on the pump handle, as I always do when I intend to fill up. I did not leave the pump site while waiting to hear the familiar click when the pump cut off. It did not cut off, gas was boiling out of my vehicle's tank, while forcefully pouring out of the handle. Gas poured all down the side of the vehicle, covering the tire, splattering on the ground and all over my feet and legs. I grabbed the handle and got it stopped. I went inside to get my receipt and reported the incident to the attendant inside. He was very very obnoxious, did not say "sorry" or anything. He looked angry when I walked in the door. He did not acknowledge anything I said and when I asked him if he heard me, he said he heard me the first time and so what? I told him I thought he needed to know; it was a safety hazzard. He became very angry, telling me not to come into his store telling him what to do, that he was the "authority" there. He told me to get out. I did, but advised him that I would be reporting the incident. I went to my vehicle and left after taking pictures of the gas pump, my vehicle, the gas on the ground, and various pictures of the gas station. I will be reporting the incident to whatever State agency needs to know. I will NEVER stop at this Chevron station again.
