Mexican Sombrero

I read some of the previous reviews and agree they had a bad start with the grand opening, but we decided to give it another shot and it's truly delicious! The presentation of the food is fabulous and everything is made fresh. The chicken is cut up into beautiful cube chunks (not the shredded dark meat like other places cheap out and use). They have added a bunch of decor and you feel festive from the moment you step foot into the place. I highly recommend the enchiladas and flautas! Beware of their hot sauce.. it's made in-house and seriously hot.

The chips were good.Salsa was OK but store bought is just as good. Drinks were watered down. Tequila - what tequila? Ordered pork tacos. They were out! Seafood soup was bland and heavy on the not so fresh salmon. Chimichangas were bland but OK. Probably won't go back. We were so excited to have a new Mexican restaurant nearby. Disappointed!

We went there on the grand opening night. I will start with the positive. The chips and salsa were good. The chips tasted homemade. However, there was a lot of disorganization. We didn't event get to try the food. We waited 10 minutes for a server(it seems the servers didn't know which section they were covering); we finally placed our order. We ordered something simple: quesadilla and tacos. I got to try the margarita but it was a little water down. After 45 minutes of waiting and the kids getting inpatient and hungry we asked for the bill. We never got the food. We later found out the ordered was not placed by the server. We noticed that other tables received their food and were seated after us. We waited another 10 minutes for the bill to come and finally the Manager came over and said the drinks were on the house. We were really looking forward to the opening of this restaurant. We don't think we will back anytime soon. I think the major issues seem to be the lack of experienced servers and the staff was not communicating. We will give it sometime to get organized before we decide to try it again.
