Sure it's first come first serve and there is a wait. That would be because it's a one man show, and the proprietor of this establishment is a true artisan who does thing right, using time honored techniques and the finest materials. It's worth the wait when you're trying to save your favorite pair of boots! Now you'll have guys like "RS" who are completely self absorbed, want to be put at the front of the line, and expect instantaneous results, well AAA doesn't work that way as I've said above. And who do you really want doing your service on any of your prized possessions. The man who has so many loyal customers there's an 8 week wait. Or some hack who has nothing but time. Ladies and gentlemen I submit to you that some thing are indeed worth waiting for. And, my boots only go to AAA! :)

I took my worn old boots in as a last chance to try to save and get them resoled before splurging on a new pair. Let's just say I may never need to buy another pair. The workmanship is top-notch and the price is very reasonable. The proprietor may charge a little more than others, but it is well worth it, as he reconditions the entire boot. Don't go anywhere else!
Have been using them for 10 years plus with no complaints. Yes you do have to wait, that's a successful. business with a big client base. Sounds like RS is a little too self important.
