Otoplasty
Patients often comment that they’ve gained significant emotional and psychological benefits after having ear pinning surgery, also known as otoplasty. If you or a loved one has suffered ridicule because of large or protruding ears, then Dr. Arledge may be able to help. This common, outpatient procedure removes some cartilage under local anesthesia in order to bring the ears closer to the head. Ear pinning can be an option for ears that protrude more than two centimeters from the back of the head, and it must be performed when the ear has finished growing.
