I realize that Lubbock is predominately Spanish, but while I was there at the resturant that was the only music that I heard. I ordered a ribeye steak and it was very well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sides were limited to just a few, the service was very good and the meal as a whole was a success. If you don't mind listening to spanish music that was not to loud and want to watch some sports I suggest going here to enjoy a very satisfying meal. My waitress c ould have come by a bit more, but she was personable and derserving of a 20% tip. I'm sure the Mexican fare would have been very good, but I was kind of burnt out on that cusine and really wanted a steak. The bar area was very crowded because they provide free pool so I went into the resturant area which was quieter and more ccondusive to the family atmosphere.

I ordered the carne guisada plate, and that was good. But hubby ordered the taco plate and those were pitiful! Tasteless, greasy, kinda gross. I guess some things are good here and some aren't. Dissappointed since all the other reviewers speak so highly of this place. Service was mediocre at best, and when food finally came out waitress never came back to check on us, our drinks or anything.
Best Breakfast burrito in town. A large group from my office went on a search for the best and we tried a lot of places and ALL of us agreed this is the best. Be sure to add potato to whatever burrito you are having they are wonderful. They have excellent carne guisada also. LOVE this place. I live across town but make the trip with out a problem...they are that good!
