        Dr. Stephen J. Walker. D.N. earned his doctorate degree from the Chicago National College of Naprapathy in 1982 and is a licensed as a Naprapath in Illinois. He is also a certified Reiki Master, having completed all three levels of Reiki training. Dr. Walker also holds certificates in DNA and Advanced Theta Healing, and is an advanced Frequency Specific Microcurrent Practitioner (FSM). Dr. Walker has been a practitioner of the healing and energy arts for over 35 years. As a result, he takes an eclectic approach to healing by combining his Naprapathic training and energetic experience into effective treatments tailor-made for each person's needs. Naprapathy has been described as a synthesis between massage therapy and chiropractic due to its unique emphasis upon treating both soft tissue (ligaments, tendons, connected tissue, fascia, and muscles) as well as the vertebrae of the spine. Naprapathic treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment to ascertain the patient's medical case history. A spinal examination follows in order to identify the precise areas of the anatomy requiring treatment. Common conditions treated by Naprapathy include both chronic and acute problems such as back pain, stiff neck, whiplash, sports injuries, trauma, arthritis, migraines, carpel tunnel syndrome, TMJ dysfunction, herniated discs, bursitis, tendonitis, fibromyalgia, and sciatica. Treatment with Naprapathy is based upon applying a system of gentle manual manipulations to the patient's body in order to stretch, align and relieve the afflicted connective tissues causing the ailment.
