On Saturday morning, after dropping my daughter off at Sacred Heart Academy to take the ACT test, I heard a whistling coming from my 2006 Toyota Tundra. I looked at the engine heat gauge; it was at the very top. My trusted truck with 120K miles was letting me down. But, that was last let down of the day. I limped into Pruitt’s Automotive, and Pee Wee immediately began diagnosing my problem. He asked Jeff, the weekend manager to take a look. The consensus was my thermostat was stuck in the closed position, so coolants were not flowing through the engine block. Jeff informed me they were booked solid for the day. And my heart sank! We were in Louisville from Evansville (120 miles away) for the day only; I would not be able to return home later in the day. Next thing I know, Jeff is saying, “But, I cannot not help an out of towner in a moment of need. We’ll get you worked in somehow.” Another mechanic (Jeff’s Dad) received the assignment to get me on the road as soon as possible. About 1 ½ hours after limping into Pruitt’s, and I was back on the road, just like new. Thanks to everyone for taking care of an out of towner, just like I was regular!!!
Shamurai is obviously an idiot,they have been in business for over 70 years and operating off mostly all repeat customers during that whole time.My family has taken generations of cars there,never having one problem..As far as limited services they have a four bay garage that performs complete auto services of all makes & models from oil changes, to brakes complete engine overhauls.If they fill up their lot everyday with cars to be worked on,they must be doing something right,& also written up in leo as best louisville garage for dependability..For an absolutely clueless person like shamurai who has no basis to their claim,there is hundreds of people who would go nowhere else..
I love these guys, they are great. They answered all my questions and my husband liked their services so much he went back and bought a 22 from them.
