2nd visit to Wick's. Food was awesome both times, atmosphere is great..... Both times had the worst service. I don't mind waiting for food but having to go to the hostess to mention we've been sitting here for 20min w/out a drink is awful. No apologies. Not even an "ok we'll get you taken care of".... Just ignored.... Quit hiring college snobs and get some real customer service. Keep up the great food though!
I got in late to the Louisville area and ended up missing the chance to order a pizza from Wicks. However, the evening before I had to fly out the next morning, I called and for what ever reason I did not have the cash at the time the delivery driver would need to deliver the pizza, only my corporate card. The owner of Wicks delivered (!!) me the full up Wicks large pizza free (I tipped the driver the $15 bucks I had) and just said let the folks back home know how you liked it (it was thick, huge and wonderful!!!) Can't say enough about how great the experience was--totally enjoyed every mouthful--would and have highly recommended it to any of my coworkers knowing my reputation was on the line.

I drove 120 miles to pick up a 'big wick' after the UL game last night. Pizza looked fine on top, but the crust was like burnt toast underneath and sides. Didn't notice this till I got home. Called them and they only offered me a $5 credit on my next purchase. I'm sure they don't care about my 1 or 2 purchases a year but they will care when all my family and friends who live in Louisville will no longer patronize their business.
Great food and reasonably priced. However the Volume of the television and the radio or the live bad is always way too loud. I mean you cant even speak to the person sitting next to you. One of my friends actually walked to walgreens and bought some earplugs. Only seems to be a problem with the owner is there. Food is great, just bring hearing protection!

We were invited to meet up with friends and this was our first time. We loved the pizza, \r the drinks, the friendly, efficient service \r and had a good time with our friends.
best in town-best in most places! Always ask the locals.....WE KNOW!!!!!!

My family travels a lot and we always try a local pizza place - not a franchise. This one is by far the best pizza that we have found. We live 3 1/2 hours away from Wick's Pizza and have literally gotten up on a Saturday and driven to Louisville just for pizza.

EDIBLE, WITH DECENT FLAVOR, BUT FAR TOO WEIGHTY WITH TOPPINGS, CAN'T REALLY TASTE CRUST. MOSTLY GENERIC AS MOST COMMERCIAL TAKE OUT IN THIS CITY. A FAR CRY FROM THE REAL THING.

I'm a pizza fanatic. Originally from Omaha where the best Pizza in the world resides (Mama's, Big Freds, Godfathers, Sgt Peffers, etc)\r \r Get the Big Wick. I'd give it a 5, but it was heavy on the green olives (a bit too much for my taste). My feeling is that you have to be sparing with canned green olives, or they will hijack your pizza.\r \r The atmosphere is not my taste (loud), so I'd suggest sitting outside\r \r If you are in Louisville, go.

After moving to Louisville from NYC, I was so thrilled to be in walking distance of Wick's on Baxter. This is by far the best pizza in Louisville and even rivals some of my favorite pizza joints in NYC. The toppings are always fresh (I love the spinach, garlic and mushroom) and the service is always great! I take all of my guests from NYC there and they all STILL talk about the breadsticks and garlic butter. One friend even made me go back three nights in a row, he just couldn't get enough! I usually end up getting carry-out or delivery since the place is so busy inside. But who can complain? Of course it's busy, it's friggin delicious!\r \r Check out the breadsticks, house salad, stuffed breadwick or the cinnamon star. All are amazing! And whatever you do, don't pass on the garlic butter dipping sauce. But beware... it is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!!!\r \r

Went to Wick's for the first time after hearing people absolutely gush about the pizza there. First, the parking wasn't very good. We got inside and were seated quickly but it was very crowded and we almost didn't fit at the table we were seated at. There weren't any more options though. After that, we saw or server less and less. It was absolutely unreal the amount of time it took to get our food. We could not get our waitress to come back to the table for re-fills or anything else. The pizza was good, but nothing to write home about. After waiting for almost a half our to get our ticket, we were almost ready to just leave we were so frustrated. She finally came back and it was wrong. Needless to say, I am definitely in no rush to go back there.

People swear by Wick's. Maybe you have to be a Louisville native to appreciate their pizza, but I found it boring and unappetizing. Each slice is weighed down with a mountain of cheese (and not even GOOD cheese) that takes over the flavor of the sauce and crust. Any pizza place that offers a chicken bacon ranch pizza seems un-authentic to me. I find it rather pricey as well. There are other local pizza establishments that I would choose before Wick's. Not impressed.

This is definately the best pizza in town period....HOwever a trip to wick's also gets you the best atmosphere and service of any pizza place in town. Also this is probably the 2nd best pizza in the country behind Giordano's in Chicago!

By far the pizza is one of a kind. I've read how the sauce isn't much in flavor, but in my opinion it compliments the ingredients. This is a great sports bar, too. I go to the Baxter location every Sunday for NFL. It's a great place to hang out with the regulars. Highly recommend this pizza.

I have had pizza from San Francisco to Blue Ridge Summit, PA and THIS is the best Pizza by far. The Dixie Hwy location rocks with murals from local artists and a friendly crew. AND they deliver to my house! OUTSTANDING! What I appreciate the most is the smoke-free family area. Wicks Wocks!

Everyone said the Pizza is the best but I found it not even close. I love flavorfull sauce and they use little sauce. I love greasy chease I found the cheese being hard, and the crust had no flavor. Thumbs down. I have found other pizza places in the area to be much better, so before you settle for Wicks look around a little bit more.

The price for the Big Wick may scare you, but the quality and taste are worth it. Wicks is a favorite of my family and friends the Cajun BBQ Pizza Bread is to die for. If you are tired of the same old pizza and want to add some spice to your life then try Wick's and you won't regret it. Just be warned that once you try it you will keep coming back for the great taste!

It's obvious these reviews come from folks who haven't had many pies outside of Louisville. Anybody with a breath who has had pizza anywhere outside of the 'Ville could tell you this place couldn't survive for about a year. A bland-salty-mess of a sauce (tomato paste with a bit of spice) destroys this mess. The crust is good and toppings plenty, but again, the sauce KILLS Wick's pies. The service is great and the owners are SUPER nice, but, try Bearno's or, sadly, Papa John's.
